traveler_xxx	6-Dec-11 20:12:51 DeDe, I have to maintain a bunch of Windows PCs at work (one reason I use Macs at home...) and I would NEVER use anything whatsoever by either McAfee or Norton. Even if your machine came with McAfee pre-installed, it just isn't worth it. The performance hit is tremendous. Even free AVG is better; in fact, it's pretty good. When I have the choice (and it's MY money), I use Kaspersky Internet Security. Those Russians are good at this. The Kaspersky 2012 version is excellent. Should you decide to dump McAfee, you will need to be VERY diligent in removing ALL of it. Do some reading and be sure you're dumping all of it.

youngmindz1	19-Dec-11 12:35:01 AVG is pretty good... use it on my computer as well. I have Microsoft Security Essentials on another PC of mine. Seems as if it works pretty well. You might want to try that. It's also free.
