So that would make you 13 and him at least 22 when you first developed a crush on him ... and I think the term schoolgirl crush is the right word here! Whats happened is that as you have grow up and matured you have slowly seen that he is not all that he seems to be, and my guess is that part of your love of him is memories of your fantasies of a life spent together rather than the reality of the situation. IF you want to see how things go ... fine ... but WAIT for a while because the last thing you want or need to be is on the receiving end of a rebound relationship. Go with your gut here ... it will not steer you wrong.
