dziga	15-Aug-13 11:33:11 Depression runs in my family and certainly hit me square on. It is a misunderstood thing...it is not, "sure, everyone gets depressed once in a while" but an enveloping trap. It is strange to say this, but I feel fortunate that in my case depression was accompanied by alcoholism (yes, the depression did come first). Eventually, this xxxxxx me into a spiritual approach to life that I had no interest in taking up which has had tremendously positive effects on my life, far more than any medication or any learning ever did. The public apology, the reaching out, caring for others, trying to help others...key features of that sort of approach to life. The hardest part is easily doing the right things when the psyche just wants to sit alone in a dark room and think, but it gets progressively easier. Feel free to send me a PM anytime if you feel like it...I have no problem discussing such things and in fact find it to be one of the most redeeming things to do in life.
