One is to purposefully mislead people (this tends to have a malicious nature) and the other is to have some fun with others and themselves (this tends to be done openly and harmlessly). It is difficult enough recognising fakers in the chatroom - without having to deal with people using 'undercover' identities there. It should not be necessary, and I see this as sufficient reason to have them 'booted' from the chat. There is however one exception to this that I can think of right now (& there are probably others) - and that is, I understand that some of the girls get hounded by the guys in the chatroom - and I can see that if they just want to have a genuine chat there is a need for them to go into the room with a different identity. True this is misleading - but not really malicious - and I don't see any alternative to this just now. But I do not see any harm in a second profile as long as it is not done to mislead other NNers, and is done with a clear purpose or some degree of fun. I believe some people can have a legitimate alta-ego that does not misrepresent themselves, but shows a different aspect of their personality that they want to advertise - sort of like if I created another profile called 'HotChixForMe'. I also see that it is fair to use a profile for a different 'fun' purpose - like the profiles for 'TheCritic' or 'Confession'. Having said that, I don't want to see lots of people create second profiles on a whim - and then abandon them later. If you create a second profile - be prepared to maintain it, update it and your blog, answer PM's and so on. Overall - PLEASE, just let your commonsense prevail. Thanks

When i go into chat under a diff name, it's either to see how fair the mods are or i dont really want to be bugged. Mostly more outta curiousity to see how other ppl behave.

I enjoy sharing them and since the school system is watching this namw I put them under a different name. If you don't want me to do this any more I will have you remove my other pictures, I would love to keep them up though.

My concern is with Males posing themselves as Bi-Females in an effort to engage Straight Males in deceitful (and unwanted cyber). Giving the Moderators access to users IP addresses should help in controlling this problem if they are aware of its presence. While I too have used different idenities, it has never been done to trick people into thinking I'm someone or something I am not.

incubator	26-Apr-04 18:18:45 OK time for me to come clean too. This place is becoming a confessional innit. I too have a different id here which i seldom use now. This was never done to be deceitful either mine was done to give me anonimity also. Being the life & soul of the chatroom can be a little draining from time to time so with a different id I can enter with a relative amount of anonnimity which allows me to sit back & enjoy the ride that others get from seeing me in action. SexyEmma	28-Apr-04 10:30:04 I have several identities because at times I feel very different things and I use them to explore my sexual identity. Some days I'm submissive other days I'm dominant. I think stepping into a new identity to signify my new role is helpful to other's and less confusing - you know you can throw SexyEmma down onto a bed and fuck her but if you tried that on The Bitch - you'd be sorry ;)
