.....its been way way too long.

I started a new job yesterday....good news huh...???? NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! I FREAKIN HATE IT ALREADY!!!!! You know it can't be good if you hate it on day #1. Those Chartered Accountants are a stiff and starchy bunch!!

I have run a business for the last eight years and had prior experience before I got that job. The accounting part of it was just one of my many duties. Its a whole different ball of was being stuck in an office all day crunching numbers alone!! I have this friendly, creative, outgoing side that just wants to be unleashed. The best part of my day is when the secretary leaves for lunch and I get to come out of my cave and see people and talk to people and make people smile.....

I think I might quit......first impressions are HUGE for me....

Some of you have noticed that I haven't been on much lately and have taken the time to check in outside of NN - I thank you for that. You all know who you are. For the rest of you I thought it was time for an update.

Life outside of the NN walls (feels like I am on "Big Brother or something) has been busy and hectic but very very good. Yes the rumors are true - I do have an incredible guy in my life that is keeping me on my toes, back, head, knees etc etc....!!! We have taken some "couples" photos with the intent to perhaps post them on NN sometime in the future. Wait till you see what a hottie he is.....I DID GOOD!!

Family is good. My dad had heart surgury in early March and is recouperating well. That was a stressful time for me. My oldest is turning 14 next week so its getting harder and harder for me to pass for 29 these days!! Hockey is over..we won the championship - yeah!! We also went to an awesome tournament South of the border and YIKES - did my Visa take a beating!!!

Cottage season opens in 7 weeks and "darn" it didn't sell over the winter so I guess that means I can still enjoy it this summer. After all....I will be unemployed end of May!! The business I was running has sold and I am taking the steps to start a chapter and a new job. Although I am very tempted to seek slowly and maybe take the summer off first!!

I hope you are all well. I have missed you. Going to try to find time to venture into chat this weekend and get caught up with old friends.

We are in the midst of a brutal winter storm. They pulled the plows off the road at noon and people are stuck in driveways, roadways & parking lots all over the place. Silly me I decided to venture out the grocery store....boy am I thankful for my 4WD - if only those shopping carts had it!!

If it snows much more I won't be able to get out till spring - I am only 5'4" after all!!

TG - thinking I might need to wear my thigh boots tomorrow!!

Seems to be a lot of hum glum going around in these halls. Lots of busy people, transitions in life and so on. Like many of you I find that writing about it sometimes lifts the weight if even for a moment.

Day started out today with the sounds of a seal pup barking from my son's bedroom. Since I don't have a seal I could only assume it was the cough from hell. Kept him home from school today and took him to work with movies etc. to keep him quiet but busy. Lunch was eventful....got a call from a good friend in a bad situation. I am that friend that would do anything for anyone so I often get called upon in times of distress. After speaking with her and agreeing to meet her after work I headed back for my afternoon at the office. On the way back to the office I witnessed a kitty get hit by a car

(((((( I immediately called my vet and she came and picked him up right away. I ventured back to work.....finished the day all the while hoping kitty was ok.....stopped at the vet on the way home....sadly kitty didn't make it

Visited that friend after work....took her to the grocery store and bought food for her and her children.....she would have done the same for me if I needed it. I listened, cried, offered some suggestions and had to make my way home. I feel good....but feel bad at the same time.

I sure hope tomorrow is a better day.

TG - tattered, tired and torn and realizing that although my heart tells me to....I can't save the world.
