Thursday, January 31, 2013, 3:23:55 PM- Video Game Reunion

Love this, the way the Characters ended up years after their games left the shelf. Also the fact that the reporters from TMNT are reporting on the event... Watch the whole series and see just how funny it all is... also on the atom site for the show are some out takes and even an episode of cops that features Daisy and Luigi...

Thursday, January 31, 2013, 1:07:40 AM- Shinto
Shinto ("the way of the gods"wink is the indigenous faith of the Japanese people and as old as Japan itself.

When sorrow lays us low
for a second we are saved
by humble windfalls
of the mindfulness or memory:
the taste of a fruit, the taste of water,
that face given back to us by a dream,
the first jasmine of November,
the endless yearning of the compass,
a book we thought was lost,
the throb of a hexameter,
the slight key that opens a house to us,
the smell of a library, or of sandalwood,
the former name of a street,
the colors of a map,
an unforeseen etymology,
the smoothness of a filed fingernail,
the date we were looking for,
the twelve dark bell-strokes, tolling as we count,
a sudden physical pain.

Eight million Shinto deities
travel secretly throughout the earth.
Those modest gods touch us--
touch us and move on.

Thursday, January 31, 2013, 12:41:13 AM- Jabberwocky

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”

He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Friday, January 18, 2013, 5:42:30 PM- My Turn
Seems that a lot of people here lately have decided to use their blogs as a soap box to complain about things that are bothering them, So here I go...

A pet peeve I have and have had for a long time is, People who do not take responsibility for their own actions and blame others for what they are getting in trouble for. I saw it a lot in school one person would attack another then when they were punished for doing so they would blame the person they attacked. Blaming the victim is a mental health issue, it is one of the first things that appears on the check list for anti-social personality disorder as well as a plethora of other mental disorders that mark inappropriate behavioral tendencies. And that is part of why many schools today teach life skills that include taking responsibility for your behavior as early as kindergarten.

Now on an adult website I see it happen just as often if not more then I did when I was in school. It is simple people if you break a rule, YOU are responsible for that, not the person who punished you, not the others involved, not someone who has in no way done anything wrong, or someone who was in no way involved in what you did wrong...

"I do agree fully with your blog. Unfortunately, it is those practically screaming we are adults that are in fact behaving like little children. Rules are rules, you break them, you stand up and be responsible for your own actions, suffer the consequenses.... regardless of who you are... isn't that what we as adult teach children... perhaps some need to take a good look at themselves and adjust their own behaviour before they accuse others....."

The quote is from comic book character Captain America, but this is probably the best picture to accompany it...

For Texascouple as I said she has a great voice. Read the captions in the video, it is a very unique way to do a album cover jacket and get the fans to come together
