Why is it when it rains it pours?

A crappy evening has begotten a shitty new day. Everything is going wrong wrong wrong. Every where I turn I run into something saddening or maddening. I can't seem to catch a break here. I am so tempted to pop a tranq and cower in bed till this day is over, but is that the cowards way or is it self-preservation? I don't have the answer but I so wish someone or something could cheer me up as I seem to be unable to do it myself today...

Today is a very sad day for me. My first and oldest JBT passed away today.

Most of you don't know this but I breed purebred cats. Japanese Bobtails to be exact. That is kind of how my screen name came about in many ways. Many would have guessed "oh yeah, Kittykats1, must mean pussy heh heh..." Well it does, just not THAT kind. Pussy yes, but pussyCATS lol.

As I said before my first and oldest bobtail died today. "Hobi" was such a good cat. I paid $400 for him and he was worth every penny spent. He was my first show cat. I learned how to condition, groom and present with this creature. He was a good traveler and was so patient with a n0ob such as I was back then. I made all my greenhorn grooming mistakes and everything I learned he and I learned together. He took it all in stride. He was my very first Grand. After he Granded he became a beloved pet and companion to a series of other up-and-coming youngsters. He would go to shows with me as the 'old hand' and he was so good with the spooky and unsure kittens out for their first show.

He lived a good life with us and was a wonderful pet so filled with personality and eventhough he was plagued by various health issues, the worst of which was IBS (inflammatory bowel syndrome) but up and till the end he was active and always loving.

Rest in peace my dear friend, you have taken a bit of my heart with you...

I am making home made caramel corn so I am pretty much stuck in the house for the next few hours as I am gonna try and knock out at least 2 maybe 3 batches. It is very time consuming and it's very finicky. The corn must be stirred every 15 minutes and dried in a slow oven for at least an hour. It can go up to an hour-and-a-half depending upon how much humidity is in the air, the porosity of the popped corn, etc, but my god is it worth every minute spent.

This stuff is instantly addictive. You will eat and eat and eat till you puke and then you will want more. It turns people into hoarders and pits husband against wife. Fights break out over it. No one wants to share, everyone wants their OWN bag. Yes, it is that good. My hair stylist calls it 'crack' and since I am going to get my hair done tomorrow, I was warned that I had best not come in to my appointment without copious amounts of 'crack.' This batch will go to the salon with me and the other 2 I hope to do today will get parted out to friends. If I give it away I won't eat it. If it's here in my house I can't avoid it; it calls to me...it whispers seductively in my ear - "just eat me....eat ALL of me...you know you WANT to!" I am so weak and pitiful that I succumb and eat. I am ashamed. I cannot say no. I am a tool. I am weak. I curse myself and the corn's buttery, caramellicious taste as I stuff it into my willing mouth. Fuck. I will need an extra 15 minutes at the gym to repair this damage.

I am a caramel corn sub; I cannot resist it. I bow down and consume. I grovel. It is in the drivers seat. I can't fight it. Oh god I can smell it from across the house...*sob*

Heaven help you all, I have returned!!!

Man have I ever missed this place. Life has been beyond crazy and hectic and I just had to put my online life on hold and concentrate on life itself.

A lot has happened in the past however many months. It's all too long to get into at the moment, but what I can tell you is that life is good. My hubby and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary and we are still going strong. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary with our SO's in just a few weeks. It has been an amazing year for many reasons; many highs and lows but I can say that I am content. I have my health. I have a husband who loves me. I have a wonderful child and a girlfriend and boyfriend who also love me and together with their kids we have made a very big and boisterous family. We may not have won the lotto but we are truly rich in love. And, well, sex. Lots of hot sex lol

I have missed all of my pervy peeps and I will make a promise to put up more pics soon - you all havent seen my hair lately!!! Right now it's sort of pink. Last time it was orange and red! Heh. See you all soon...I MISSED YOU!!!!

The week is almost over (yay).

It has finally stopped raining but it is colder then hell outside. I am terrified to see what our PG&E bill is going to be. I have been keeping the house as warm as I dare.
