Gonna meet my hubby and our SO's for lunch today. we try and all get together for lunch at least one day out of the week. Otherwise it is various configurations of hubby and our GF or me and my BF for lunch or any mix of pairings or trios. Confusing eh? LOL.

My GF and I will be baking tonight. Cookies cookies and more cookies! We have a cookie party to attend this weekend and so we have been boring the men to tears with our constant prattle about recipes and ingredients. All they want to do is eat the results or molest us while we are trying to work in the kitchen. We shall banish them from the kitchen till further notice. They can go watch Dark Knight on bluray, hubby got it today. It will keep them out of our hair tonight while we bake like crazy.

It's what I have in store for moi. I think I need a nice Housebitch to do my housework for me, quite frankly I am NOT in the mood to do it all today. Bleh.

Just got home from running the carpool and my son is settled with his homework assignments for the day, so I shall be occupying myself with:

Unloading dishwasher

Reloading dishwasher

Scrub all kitchen counters

Sweep & mop kitchen floor

Re hang garland in living room that the damn Cornish Rex pulled down

Sweep living room

Tidy living room

Sweep hallway

Scoop front cattery litter boxes (the boys)

Scoop the Cat Room cattery litter boxes (the girls)

Clean cat room bathroom

Clean master bathroom

Sweep bedroom floor

Clear clutter off top of my dresser

Fold 3 baskets clean laundry

Wash 4 loads of dirty clothes

Go to gym

Figure out what to make for dinner

I guess I better get off my ass and start this....

I can't keep my eyes open. Got off work, did my "Wifey" shit (pick up hubby's dry cleaning, banking, grocery store, start laundry, fold laundry, etc) and now no amount of Starbucks can keep the momentum going. I have hit a wall. I guess this is what less than 4 hours sleep will do for you. Still so much to do and I find it hard to justify taking a nap but I don't think I have a choice. I am getting waspish and cranky. Not a good sign. Not good for whatever poor sod who happens to get in my way. I have a horrid temper as it is, when I am too tired I am just a flat-out bitch. It is a character flaw, one that I am not happy I have. It's going to be a late evening I think, so I better go sleep for a couple hours at least. The pillows are calling my name....

It's frigging COLD in this house. Shit! I am gone at work for a few hours and my house is now like a meat locker! I shivered my butt off at work - the Boss is one of those women that lives for the cold. She has shorts and a t-shirt on, wtf? I couldn't wait to leave so I could run to my car and crank the heater on to 90 degrees....it was blissful...ahhhhh. Everyone I know calls me 'The Reptile' as I love the heat. I love it warm. I hate wearing clothes. Gimme HEAT.

I hate it when all my old old injuries come back to haunt me when it's cold & damp. It seems to seep deep within my bones and the aches become apparent. Blown knees and fractured toesies. Cracked bone in foot. Bone chip over left eye. Back trashed in 2 places. I am a train wreck aren't I? LOL. Our power bill is atrocious but screw it. I am turning UP the heat. Plaster walls get cold soaked and are a misery to live with, and I am NOT a penguin. Yeah I am short and I waddle and I like fish, but chilly I like not at all!!! Power bill be damned!

Started taking Christmas boxes down. Well, what I can reach anyhow. I am only just 5 foot tall and I am balancing on a rather unstable barstool. Hubby would throttle me if he knew what I was doing, but I am feeling blue today and I am hoping putting up some cheerful deco shit will pull me out of it. It's a longshot but I can't sit and dwell. Must decorate. Or shop. Money is tight so I can't shop. That leaves decorate. If you never hear from me again, you will know I have broken my neck and died in the interests of having a well-decorated holiday home. I shall not have died in vain...

Why can't people just get along? Why? Why call names and say hurtful shit? Is it worth it? Does it make one feel better about oneself? The way I see it, we have only a finite amount of time on this planet so why spend it being evil to one another? I am no angel nor am I perfect. I just wish sometimes people could be better to one another. Call me foolish, call me naive. I may be all those things and more.
