The sun has set but yet the men from the power company are still up on the poles back up the way working with flashlights installing a new transformer to supply power to 13 houses on our street are still without electricity.

These guys are certainly working long days. We can hear the noise from the cranes as they inch closer to getting the equipment in place. At least the evening air is half way warm and its not raining. But most of all I'm glad we've got power.

It was Saturday afternoon when the first storm hit. Lucky I had finished mowing the yard. Shortly after wards we went to a co-worker's daughter's wedding. It was the strangest wedding we'd ever gone to. She was from Laos and the groom was from France.

When we left it was poring again. After we got home my wife just went crazy and fell apart because of something very minor that she even said was nothing worth the drama. It was all I could do to hold everything together for the moment. She apologized this morning but the damage was already done.

This is when I should mention that we lost power at 3:30 a.m. and it didn't get turned back on until 6:00 this afternoon. The day was so quiet with electricity, no tv, no Internet no nothing. All we did was make napkin rings for own son's wedding.

We were lucky compared to many in others here in Missouri and Oklahoma.

Below is the reason we lost power. A neighbor's huge tree decided to fall prey to the damaging wind and ended up resting directly on the telephone pole. Below that is the mess we were making while doing our hours & hours of craft work. It is so boring.

I've been putting it off for months now but it was time. After my last quick check up at the doctor's office on Tuesday it was decided that I really had to begin medication for my high blood pressure. Really... 160 over 90 isn't good.

This being the second day I've already felt the difference. The side effects that is. OMG.. Oh man do I feel tired. Will I get used to this? Give me a few weeks & I'll let you know.

I almost forgot to mention we had another Earthquake yesterday morning. It was a small registering 2.7 or something. But we certainly felt just the same. It's center was only about 10 miles away.

My neighbor has just gone missing. We're not sure where she went or for how long. But I took upon myself to mow her lawn. It must have been nearly a foot tall. A neighbor got a call asking them to take her to the airport but they couldn't do it. Hmmm... I think she's flown to L.A. She ALWAYS tells us when she's heading out of town. This time she didn't. The sunroof on her car is open and we can't close it. What a shame every times it rains!

Everyone here is off to an early start this morning. this might be the last decent day before the rain begins to move.

Yesterday about this we experience yet another earthquake. Oh it was a little one but we felt while standing the kitchen.. Move over California we'll about to join you as the leader in quake activity.

Sunday, May 4, 2008, 8:36:24 PM- OMG.. It's Spring!

It seems we've been waiting all year for a day like today. There was no way It was going to be wasted. So early this morning we headed out on a 40 mile bike ride will a journey down to the Gateway Arch and then we headed north along the river until we got to the chain of rocks bridge. Then finally we headed home.

My legs were tired but I had to keep going so I hand washed both cars while i was still a bit grubby & dirty. Even now I haven't showered but that'll be taken care of in a few minutes.

Last night we drove out to my son's bride to be parents house for dinner and further wedding plans. My wife and her mother seem to hate each other but there was NO fireworks last night, thank God!

Right now.. I just beginning to run out of steam. It's time an afternoon snooze or something. What I wouldn't give for a nice lazy sexy Sunday afternoon.. oh well, another life time I suppose.

I'll leave you with a shot of the flowers in our backyard to proove Spring has finally arrived.

It's difficult to believe with this afternoon beautiful that tornadoes ripped through our state last night leaving a path of destruction that only a few have to deal with. With that in mind I'm sorry for their loss but I'm glad it wasn't me. Does that make a bad person?

I've mowed the lawn and now I'm getting ready to head out to the formal wear store to get measured for my tuxedo. My son's wedding is early next month and I need to begin getting all these details behind me.

Is it only Thursday? OMG! Today seemed to zap all the energy out of me. Maybe it was the weather... almost wanted to rain but never did.

After work I stopped off and purchased a new software package to edit my videos. I really need to install it but I just don't want to take the time right now. Tonight might be suited to just chill out in front of TV.

Meanwhile I can look forward to tomorrow. It'll be Friday and I get to wear jeans to work. Causal Friday!
