Coulrophobia is a strange name and you not expect to be a Fear Of Clowns. Something which I suffer from. I do not know where it comes from or how I got it. Back when I was a teenager I dated a clown from a circus that travelled all around the UK, and that was ok - I didn't suffer from it then!
Rocky found out about this phobia first hand back in 2007. He took me to my very first Rodeo and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again in a heartbeat.......... BUT, I did not realise that the Rodeo had Rodeo Clowns, I was kind of ok until the Clown got close to where we were sitting. Then Rocky saw me shaking, losing my colour, sweating, beginning to get hysterical and crying. God only know's what would of happened if this clown came any closer.
You may well laugh about this, but it feels like you are close to death (if that is what it feels like), this is a serious problem not only for me but other's.
This phobia for me is really quite bad, the TV comes on you watch a program you enjoy then WHAM a frickin clown shows up on the screen, if I am not quick enough I start to get the shakes etc.... and this is just by seeing them on TV. If some adverts come on that we know has clowns in them Rocky tells me to look away if I haven't done so already.
We love to go to parades and fairs etc. but it really dampens things if I am looking around all the time just incase a clown is somewhere lurking!

Some of the common symptoms of fear of clowns Are:

You suffer a sickness and your hands and legs start shaking
You feel close to death
You are unable to make use of your sense and your power of reasoning
You tend to sweat a lot and your normal breathing is hampered
You have dry mouth and fast heart palpitations
You feel lightheaded and dizzy
You have nausea and queasiness
You are furthest from reality and you experience full-blown anxiety attacks
You feel suffocated and you can’t speak properly
Your psychological stability is affected and there are signs of insanity in your words and actions
To put it more simply you have this fear because you are afraid of junky make-ups, which often conceal the real identity of a person and make the individual look utterly unreal.

Filmmakers in their fictions and thrillers have many a times championed the concept where you see the villain in the get up of a clown killing people mercilessly.

Some people who watch such movies start developing coulrophobia.(MAYBE this is where I got from - I don't know, but I always used to watch the Horror films).

Some well known films where you see a clown in the role of a serial killer are Friday the 13th, Saw, Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween.

Children too are at times afraid of heavy paints and make-ups. Thus, some little ones hate to see clowns and Santa Clauses in pictures, storybooks or movies.

Children who have fear of clowns seriously despise and suspect the red blue green white faces of jokers who look so fake and conceited.

Coulrophobia has recent origin and if you are a real sufferer of this condition then you are undoubtedly a coulrophobe.

Apart from the conventional idea that clowns are entertainers you come to see them playing roles of serial killers and evil clowns in fiction stories and movies.

Just think about John Gacy and Batman Villain. They were serial killers and treacherous with clown like appearance. Batman Villain is popular as the first modern evil clown.

- I cannot watch some Batman film's if the Joker is in it - and I love those film's.

Just an insight to the Clown phobia - It is not always about spider's .... and yes I have a phobia about those aswell.

Yes, I know That Thanksgiving is all over with and put to bed until next year.

I like to bake whenever the mood takes me and yesterday the mood took me - lol.

My 1st photo is of Oatmeal Banana Cookies with Raisins. This was my first for this particular recipe, and it was a complete success and will definately be making these again! Makes a change to use the Bananas up other than in Banana Bread/Loaf.

The other photo's are of a recipe that lennyknatural shared in his blog a little while ago regarding his Oat Raisin Bread. As it turns out - I am NOT a Bread Maker This did NOT turn out as I would of liked, Rocky said he liked it so at least it will get eaten lol, I am still finding my bread making efforts are still turning out heavy, and this time I purchased new yeast - incase the other ones were old, I am sure it has something to do with my oven but, you never know until you try

Was wondering if we, as people on this site are self-indulgent?

There are plenty of people out there that just post pics because they are after admiration and approval and such like. They are 10 a penny and not worth a second look!

Just depends what you are looking for and what you want out of life.

I have a life outside of NN.
I look after our house, I make sure the house is clean and tidy for Rocky when he comes home from work, I make sure he has a good meal in the evenings, I bake things for him to enjoy. I make Love with Him in the Best of ways, I tease him, I Love Him and I enjoy Him

I have fun in here and out there!

That is what Life is all about!

I do not spend 12-18 hours a day on NN - as I said I have a Life as well I come and go as I choose, someday's I do not enter the NN World at all.

Was kind of funny when I took it out of the roasting pan to put it on a platter to carve & serve at the table - I ended up with the breast stuck on my Forks and the rest left in the Roasting pan - Stuffing, Legs & wings just fell off lmao.

Yes It seems a lot for just Rocky and I, but, I make enough for Rocky's parents also, any left over then get's put into the Freezer. The coffee cakes I think I may be asked to make again

They turned out OK, and taste OK.
But, I am not happy with them really!.. Not sure if the Whole wheat flour had something to do with it or maybe the yeast wasn't good enough - they turned out a bit heavy, but they do taste like the nice brown bread I grew up with in the UK. Oh Well - at least I shall post my 'mishaps' as well as my alright's baking and cooking
