I'm almost done with my project. The new mattress arrived Saturday and the drapes came yesterday. I was hoping to be completely done yesterday but the tie backs for the drapes weren't shipped, grrrrr, so I have to improvise for the time being. For me, the hardest thing to select are drapes. Finding the right color, style, fabric and size in pre-made is difficult. I ordered a set from a major retailer but after I got them they were not the right style and they made the width by putting 2 narrow panels together, which was not mentioned in the product description. So I decided to go with custom made (I am cheap by nature so bringing myself around to spending the extra money for custom made took some time, lol). I love shopping at the custom made company's website though, the choices are endless.  | ||||||

I'm just about finished with my project. I'm done with the painting, the floor is waxed and the room is put back together. All the materials were left over from other projects so I didn't have to buy anything new. Now I just have to make a decision about drapes; ready made v custom made (i.e. cheap v expensive).  | ||||||

has been disrupted. You guys didn't talk me out of my project, the little voice in my head started yelling at me to do it. I have moved furniture (PITA) and painted the ceiling and ordered drapes. Some plaster repair tomorrow and then wash the walls. Maybe I'll get the walls painted by the weekend. | ||||||

In the past 5 years, I have gradually fixed up some things around the house that had been put off for a while. Such as replacing the kitchen floor and repairing plaster and painting. I am almost done, but I haven't done anything in a year. But I have one bedroom to do yet. I'm thinking it would be nice to get it out of the way. Clear out the clutter, paint and get some new window treatment and maybe a new bed. But it's easier to sit in front of the puter or TV. None the less, that little voice inside my head is getting louder and louder. Somebody talk me out of it. | ||||||
