Why is it that judgemental (heavy emphasis on the mental) people get offended so easily?

I've always felt that those people were hiding their insecurity by deflecting to others.

I have a tendency to piss people off sometimes, but the people I piss off are usually the ones who start the whole mess.

Example:

I have a receding hairline. Deflectors always try to come up with some kind of bald joke. They usually look like they're patting themselves on the back for their cruel little witticism, until I shoot something back, like: Nice comment from a fatass. They're immediately pissed, to which I reply: Glass houses, ya know?

I try my best to be nice to people and not cut them down for the way they look. It's VERY hard to not say anything sometimes:

I signed up for Social Security late in August. I'm still working, just not 40 hours a week now. Combine the two incomes, and I now make per month what I made working for General Motors back in 1981 without the benefits.

What goes around, comes around.

Three dreams last night:

1. Recruited by the CIA for a special ops of old geezers.

2. A lover from 35 years ago writes me a letter.

3. Flirting with a young woman in a ritzy hotel.

LOVE my dreams! In color and in great detail.

After my breakup with the love of my life back in 1978, I was drifting. I had lost weight and was burying myself in work in the daytime and booze at night.

One night I heard this song on the radio, and the words spoke to me.
I turned my life around after hearing this song. I never found another love of my life, but I learned how to live again.

Jose Fernandez. Tried to escape Cuba 3 times and was sent to prison each time. The 4th time he made it here, became Rookie of the Year in 2013 for the Miami Marlins. Died in a tragic boating accident yesterday.

Too, too bad. Such a loss!
