cheekypaul's blog post - Door to door...

I live in an churchie sort of area and quite often (more often than I'm happy about)people will come to my door from various faiths trying to interest me in 'the truth'. Now I think it is wonderful that people have a set of values that they live by etc. but I am not happy with people coming to my door to try and persuade me change my long distance phone carrier let alone my entire outlook on life.

I was looking at NN when the woman came to my door a few minutes ago and as she gave me the spiele I could see it's pink and mauve decadence out of the corner of my eye, glowing in the other room. I was SOO tempted to invite her in and show her the site and try and interest HER in another way. Tell HER how there is a real sense of community and that we share things and make friends and that it helps alot of people to have a place that they can relax and be themselves. That was afterall exactly what she was trying to do with me. Somehow though I knew she wouldn't be interested just as she knew that I wouldn't be either.......

It has made me smile though
