Question for those with ED
So I’m 56, and up until a few months ago, I could get hard without touching my dick and even just of of fantasizing. I could maintain it for hours! Now it’s like a switch flipped and my brain is not in tune with my dick. I can’t get hard without physical manipulation and even then it takes longer to get hard and won’t stay hard unless I keep stroking. If I stop for even 30 seconds I start losing my erection. It’s quite disconcerting actually, because I’ve never had this problem ever, and now it’s the norm. I tried a cock ring and it didn’t really help.

So my question, before I go talking to a doctor, is how well do the pills work and which ones do you like?

Sildenafil.

Physical stimulation is what you may have to do. My wife wants me to spray 💦 on her 🍑 a lot so no big deal for us. Penetration just means take the pills.

Just purchased pills
64. Was experiencing very similar symptoms. Took the plunge and purchased Tadalafil. They are currently sitting in the bedside draw unopened. Been able to perform happily since they arrived. I’m thinking placebo effect or physiological. We will find a time to try them but, just having them available, has had an effect. Good luck

To take a pill or not

Assuming you do not have any other health problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure and taking medication to control that you will probably part of the majority. Fortunately you are still having sex at 56 years old, many guys on here at that age are not having any sex at that age even if they could.

As for me I am almost 70 years old and have been taking Viagra/ Sildenafil for 7 or 8 years. I started by the way using it occasionally and even now even though it says not to bite the pill I take between 1/4 and a 1/3 of a 100 mg pill 15 minutes before I am planning on having sex. This gets me hard as a rock and my cock stays hard after I have my orgasm which is almost always well after my partner does. I did not notice a difference between Viagra and Sildenafil. My primary doctor is happy to give me a prescription and I use good RX to fill the prescription. Your wife/partner will love it.

Best of luck and hopefully you do not have any other medical conditions that are causing your problems.

SEE YOUR DOCTOR!
Wow, dude, the penis is the canary in the coal mine, your early warning system. Make sure you aren’t about to die from some coronary event before you start taking stuff. Good luck.

ED
I'm 54. Been having this issue for a couple years now. I take sildenafil ( generic Viagara) Fortunately, I have good health insurance. Hims was a little pricey compared to what I pay with insurance. They work though! I take 50mg. If you're ever overseas in the right country, they're a lot cheaper and over the counter.I always stock up when we go on vacation. I have purchased them in Panama and the Dominican Republic. Talk to your doctor. It's more common than you think.

ED
With the ED coming on suddenly, you should see your doctor to make sure that there is no life threatening problem. When that is out of the way, the various pills can really help.

Viagra is a short quick acting fix. It caused a slight headache for me. Cialis is longer lasting. I have had good experiences with both the name brand snd the generics.

If that does not help, a good penis pump can be effective. I am a prostate cancer survivor, age 69, and the pump is my best assist. Takes about 2 minutes and I am good for an hour.
