So i think my memories aren't liked to smells at all... and i laugh when i see the wine-tasters smelling intensively a red wine and finding scent of leather, tobacco and coal in it (don't look at me this way, i swear they do)... anyway not only anosmia makes you special :-) ps... i want to try "umami" :o)

yourpal	11-Oct-07 13:00:45 was never aware of anosmia, but I have run into a similar situation.over the past two years I have lost most of my sense of smell.I can on occasion smell things but I don't know what distinguishes these from the ones I can't smell. I even went to a specialist,has an MRI and other tests(which all came back negative). The doctor said I just somehow lost most of my sense of smell.like you said,sometimes it's a blessing(skunks,etc.) but also not(I also have gas appliances)especially with two kids in the house.just my two cents!! great post you have here
