Somebody takes the time and trouble to contact you and comment on your posts. Respect them. And most important, listen to what they say. This is customer feedback. All a bit samey? So fucking WHAT? sO FUCKING wHAT IF they think your stuff is dull and samey? Re- read your defensive shit. Eh? Do you really subscribe to the model of NN as a central clique of bitching old school members watching and helping the site die because they piss newer members off? A customer pays for a service- no one has paid us for this, so - no I don’t owe anyone anything in that regard. Also - they did get a response, which is a form of respect. It tried to highlight how non sensical the original message is. I didn’t mention them by name. I’ve not commented on their profile about it or anything. Compared to other name and shame blogs - pretty tame. Nope, I don’t subscribe to your conspiracy theory. How does someone who adds no content, sends insults and doesn’t comment or like content help the site - the person I responded to was not exactly a paragon of NN. Ummm... your profile doesn’t really respect people who have taken the time to contact you or try friend you, you realise? It tells them they will be ignored. Not really sure how that is different. Maybe “have a word with yourself”? Another thing- is it defensive? Is it really defensive? I change nothing about my behaviour. I show that the premise isn’t really credible and I ask them explain. I don’t rally feel defensive about it with the original message person. Asking me why I care but also attacking for not valuing the feedback while your own profile would have told this same person not to bother contacting you at all is an odd logic ball to unpick.
