Despite my occasional jokes, I'm not trying to make light of your interest in this subject 18. In fact, I think it's great that you're exploring a topic that obviously fascinates you so much. So please don't take the following as either snobbism, reverse snobbism, or ridicule...

My introduction to the concept of the Golden Section came from a cartoon titled "Donald Duck in Mathmagicland". I was xxxxxx to watch it over and over again because the town I grew up in had a very high percentage of Jewish people.

You see, every fall in high school, when the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur rolled around, the number of students in our classes would drop to less than ten. It made no sense for the teachers to instruct us on anything because they'd just have to repeat it all when everybody was back in class. So for three years straight, during the period when we would normally be in Algebra or Geometry or whatever, they'd have us watch a movie. And it always turned out to be Donald Duck in Mathmagicland. I kid you not.

And here, through the mathmagic of youtube, is Disney’s take on the Golden Section: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVODhFLe0mw

18, I truly hope you continue to share your insights and musings. I have actually refrained from perving around because I am absolutely fascinated by your blog. I will warn you. I may pompously pipe in with my own views from time to time. It that comes off as arrogant, know that that is my character flaw and has nothing to do with you. All that being said I find you quite clever. Don't stop!
