We know that they won't be with us much longer and dread the day that they are gone. We debate whether we should move on quickly or wait for some time before we try to find a "replacement." Good luck with your decision.

Several years ago we had to have our most favorite dog of all put to sleep, and I wept as we did it, with the dog in my arms. My wife is still not quite ready for the new dog ... the memories are strong ...
