The fine you expected and that's the policy by the sounds of it, okay, but to cancel the rest when you were already there as a sub seems unreasonable to me. To not allow you to make it up to them and your students with a free class baffles my mind. Just my 2 cents.

joeytomatoes	19-Nov-13 19:02:54 perhaps try calling the owner back and saying... look i really want to make it up to the students for free.... on the lighter side you could call him up and say YO YO YO... i'm a friend of joey-Ts...either you make this right or joey-T will make you an offer you can't refuse... do you like seafood??? just a question... good luck ty... although the punishment does not fit the crime given your efforts to make it right but it may end up being one of those live and learn moments... wish i could be more help....

curious48	21-Nov-13 6:57:32 Just a thought - possibly, when you were a "no-show" they engaged another substitute to handle the rest of the week and couldn't at that point just let that teacher go so that you could redeem yourself. You did the right things to make amends, contacting the company, apologizing, offering to make up the class at no additional fee - I am sure a new chance will come your way.
