Bra and panty swimmer jailed in PSL hotel hullabaloo

Some women say pregnancy makes them eat unusual things.

Marianne Porcaro, 51, said it made her run around a hotel in her undies and knock on guests' doors, a recently released police report states.

A Port St. Lucie police officer around 12:30 a.m. November 15 went to the Holiday Inn in the 10100 block of South U.S. 1 where a manager said a woman "had been running around the hotel in her bra and panties and she had been knocking on" guests' doors.

The manager also said the fire alarm had been activated. He blamed the running underwear woman, and said she was taking a dip in the pool.

The officer spotted the woman, identified as Porcaro, swimming in the pool, which some characters in the 1962-1971 television comedy "The Beverly Hillbillies" referred to as a cement (pronounced CEE-ment) pond.

"When asked why she was running around the hotel in her bra and panties and knocking on the other guest doors waking them up, she said she was pregnant," a report states.

Porcaro also said she'd imbibed about a six pack of Budweiser "and that was why she was acting the way she was."

A guest told police Porcaro knocked on his door. He also said he saw her pull the fire alarm.

Porcaro, of the 3400 block of Southwest Europe Street in Port St. Lucie, was arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge.
