Saturday, December 29, 2012, 12:50:51 PM- Roadtrip August part 8 - Galicia and Santiago de Compostella
Since my pictures seem to be popular, here are some more smile

After Porto, we went to Galicia, a lovely region. I was sooo happy to get away from all those churches and convents and to see a bit of nature.

Vineyards by the sea:

Not one of my habits, but this is where we spent a day on the beach. Despite being fully clothed in hiking gear and hat (slightly conspicuous between bathing suit clad people), I still managed to get sunburnt... A lovely beach though:

Another view of the sea, with pontoons where they grow (delicious) mussels, oysters, etc.:

And then a lovely sunset, picture postcard beautiful:

After Galicia, we passed through Santiago de Compostella. Abysmal weather and way too many tourists, which is why I let BF handle the photography here:

After that we headed for the mountains, for more nature. To be continued smile

Tuesday, December 25, 2012, 1:20:26 AM- Poor stomach
Christmas dinners in our family are not suitable for weak stomachs, always way too much to eat...

Tonight there was a dinner with my mother's family and my mother (who loves to cook) was hosting this year.

Hors d'oeuvres: salmon mousse on toast, dates wrapped in bacon (baked in the oven), melon wrapped in prosciutto, filled filo pastry parcels.
Starter: crab cakes
Main course: roasted rabbit with celeriac puree, sauteed mushrooms, plums poached in red wine.
I made dessert, as I knew she didn't have enough time: triple chocolate brownies and almond and hazelnut cake, and my mother had bought 4 different types of ice cream to accompany the cake and brownies.

I feel like I am going to explode tongue and tomorrow I have two more christmas family gettogethers...

Sunday, December 23, 2012, 5:57:17 PM- Angry
Despite the bad news, I'm not sad. Well, I am sad of course, but mostly I'm angry. Angry at life, at myself, at the egg that fell out of my hand when I was baking a cake, at Amazon for not shipping a certain object to my address, at the weather for being so depressing. I can't remember the last time I cursed so much.

A photo I took a while ago and that brings me peace:

I hate cancer. After saying repeatedly that she was sure she had intestinal cancer, she finally had a colonoscopy. Conclusion: intestinal cancer that has spread to her liver and lungs. She doesn't want treatment and the doctor had said it's a question of a few months.

Life sucks, sometimes I wonder what the point is.

I'm curious: do any of you ever get a song stuck in your head, not from hearing it but from simply reading the title?

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I can't get it out of my head tongue

Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 7:00:55 AM- 15000 views
I just noticed that I passed the momentous milestone of 15000 views, woohoo!
Although it's mostly a case of tenacity, having been a member for more than 6 years smile

Any suggestions or requests I can fulfill to celebrate this milestone? Within reason of course wink

Tuesday, December 18, 2012, 5:44:25 AM- Fractal images
Inspired by smiile, a little blog in Dutch (my mother tongue) and some "home-made" fractal images...

I guess I'd better answer my own question.
So have I cried after climaxing?
Yes, a few times, after masturbating. Sometimes just quiet tears and sometimes full on sobbing. For some reason, it released pent-up sadness or despair that I barely was aware of. Maybe it has something to do with a difference in breathing, or maybe it's more mysterious.
