The scenes of devestation coming out of the Gulf coast are gut-wrenching, even to someone who has seen the devestation wrought by armed conflict!

I am the president of a men's social club in my community that espouses volunteerism and community services! Since 911, we 14 members have broadened our charter's definition of "community" to contribute monetarily to national catastrophe!

If anyone knows of a religiously nondenominational and nonpolitical relief society or group, please PM me with a point of contact, address, or any way to contact them! We're gearing up to contribute to the relief of the families whose lives have been destroyed by Katrina and I would like to have a list that we can choose a number of relief efforts to support!

It's Sunday morning and the day after my birthday celebration!

We went, by 2 buses, to a seaside resort with 70 other friends and ate Maryland 'blue' crabs then boarded the busses to Lewes, Delaware, where we all boarded the Lewes/Cape May Ferry for a nice, comfortable 1 1/2 hour ride across the bay! Then on to the Sands in Atlantic City where we walked the Boardwalk, had a nice dinner and gambled for 6 hours before returning home, safely, at 3 A.M.!!!

A fabulous birthday!

During that time, we neither concerned ourselves with this creature, "orbit213", nor wasted time being angry by his attempts to "cloud" the issue that he is non-repentent for calling my wife out of her name!

Now that we're back, contrary to his assertions, he has not apologized to Pixie, a loyal NNer !

As you all will note, we REFUSE to join into his obvious attempts to deflect attention away from his insult to my wife and away from his inmaturity and prejudices!

I am not religious, my friends, but I do read! The Old Testament's Book of Judges ends with the phase, "...every man did that which was right in his own eyes"!

I reviewed the file today!

The kid's mom's a "user"!, dad's locked up, and the State pulled him and places him with dad's brother and wife! So uncle and "little 15 Y.O. Man-child" got into a "beef" this weekend and uncle disciplines him w/ corporal punishment!

Child Protective Services gets involved when the police make a report! Now, 'Man-child" is in foster care, crying,... then runs away.... whereabouts unknown!!!

Everyone's frantic b/c "L'il Man-child" has nowhere we know of to go and this come into Court tomorrow!

My "She-elf" is the EVERY-WOMAN! Wife, mother, step-mother par excellence, and grandma-ma! She's always there!

Yet, she's been battling a "cold" for the last couple of days and finally 'fessed up' that she feels like shit!

So, what's a Dragon to do? Easy, pamper the hell out of her!!! Make her drink Orange-Pineapple juice, take a pain-reliever, and fix her home-made "Dragon Egg-Foo-Yung", her favorite!

So far, your comments to the pix have also had a medicinal effect on her! At the "Bi Ladies" thread had got her rapt attention to the point where I had to order her back into bed!
