here's the thing, the other day i had a bike in my shop the owner was refered to me by one of my friends. the owner wanted me to give the bike a tune up, oil change and get it running right in general. well i start going over the bike and start noticeing alot of major problems, i call the owner and in form him whats up he tells me go ahead and fix whatever's wrong with the bike so i tell him ok. i finish the repairs and he comes to pay me and pick up his bike, when i hand him the bill he starts going off on the price, 300.00, he says for a tune up and an oil change wtf! i inform him that i did all of the other repairs that he agreed to and thats the price, he tells me i over charged him and that a friend of his could have done it for half of what i charged him. i, agian politely, informed him that the going rate for labor around here is 75.00 an hour and that i charge 60.00 an hour, it's posted in very large letters on the wall of my shop. in red and the letters are about 10 inches tall, ya can't fucking miss it! i also, very politely inform him that his friend did'nt do the work, i did the work. well about this time he says to me you ain't getting a dime and he's taking his bike. so i again very politely inform him with my polite shotgun that yes i am getting paid and if i don't i'm gonna own his bike. he almost shits his pants and starts telling me that he'll call the cops and they will show me that he's in the right. i, me being the polite indivual that i am, direct him to the phone and i inform him to go ahead and call the cops. so this fucking big, and i mean, big baby, the fucker is like 6'4" and weighs around 280, just guessing here,starts ranting and raveing about how i'm a ripoff and he grugdingly pays me. he takes his bike and leaves, end of story right? nope he calls my friend who refered him to me and tells him i ripped him off, so my bud calls me and asks me wtf how could i rip that dude off, i tells my friend about the whole deal and my bud says the fucker told him i never called him about the repairs and that i went ahead and did them and charged him for it, well i told my bud that was bullshit since i had four of our friend in the shop at the time i made the call, and that he knows me if someone says fix this and not that, i only fix what they wanted, he knows me better than that! well anyway about two days later i go out to my shop and the windshield on my truck is busted out, (i wonder who did that?) so i call my insurance and the come and check it out i get paid 400.00 for the windshield and i call another friend i know and he comes out and replaces the windshield for 150.00, so this guy thinks he got even with me somehow and i make out like a bandit! hmmm lets see 300.00 for the fuckers bike, 400.00 for the windshield minus 150.00. i made 550.00, got a new windshield, the old one had a huge crack in it anyway,and other than the frustration of having to deal with an asshjole i'd say i made out fairly good. ya know some of my friend say i'm too easy going of a guy to work in the motorcycle repair bizz, i tell em just like jesse james say's pay me sucka! | ||||
