I confess. I love food. It really is my favorite thing to eat. Sadly, I've overindulged and it's caught up with me. Soooo last week I started the long haul of getting back in shape. ick I've rediscovered my longstanding hatred of salad and everything else touted as "healthy".

Healthy schmealthy. Cake should be deemed healthy. There's eggs and flour (that's wheat so it's good for ya, right?) and... and... well cocoa BEANS and vanilla BEANS are veggies, right? RIGHT? And what about sugar? It comes from beets and that's a veggie... or sugar cane...that's got fiber, yes?

I got to spend quality time at the doc's today in the bewbie squishin' machine. That's always a delight. Got the all clear so that's one less worry. Poohbare promised to .. uh.. "monitor" things til next year's appointment. What a trooper.

Yeah...so...been having some issues and finally went to the doc. Tests have been and are still being run, but the end result remains the same. I'll be getting the girly innards taken out soon. I'm fine with it. I figure the store is closed, the inventory is outdated, so why not raze the building, right?

I'm gonna wait til June when school lets out so my daughter can wait on me hand and foot. lol. Poohbare is gonna bring home a real fancy schmancy silver bell that I'm gonna tell her I'll ring when I need her and then I'll prolly ring just for shits and giggles. Guess sometimes the silver lining is really made of silver.

This morning my cat, Spike, apparently thought he was channeling "Lassie" from the old television show.

I came up the basement stairs after switching loads of laundry and he was at the top blocking my path and meowing to high heaven. I asked him what was wrong, and he put one paw on my knee, and raised the other to touch my face, and kept fussing. I asked him again what was wrong.

Did Timmy fall in the well again? Are the bandits in the cave? Is the barn on fire? What's wrong, boy? Show me.

He walks down the hall slowly, repeatedly pausing to make sure I was behind him and then scampers straight to his food bowl.

It seems being able to see a dime-sized spot at the bottom of the bowl is classified as a crisis. =/

The business is really starting to take off. Poohbare has been bustin' ass on ebay, the local advertising seems to be working, and he's gotten called about appraisals. We just bought a collection a couple weeks ago and he's sold off most of it already. High silver prices are nice too, but we're being careful as the market is bound to drop soon. We're still looking for the right place for a store, but there's lots involved in something of that magnitude, so we're taking our time.

He surprised me with pure silliness for my birthday which was lots of fun. It was his way of getting even with me for the pirate themed birthday I did for him a couple years ago complete with inflatable parrot. His birthday is at the end of this month and I'm thinking "My Little Pony" might be necessary.
