The moment of truth has finally arrive.

Im out of here
Am feeling a little trepidation about all this, i will miss living here.
But i know that i have to be elsewhere and so that is where i will be.
So to all my dear and beautiful friends here, i bid you farewell.
Rest assured i will be back. It may take a couple of weeks to get everything in order but it will happen.

Yeah its about that time i think and todays subject is once again ratings etc etc etc
They always seem to come up from time to time.
And i have noticed that one of the driving forces for the change in blog formats by NN was to increase exposure.
Everywhere you look in todays society we are faced with ratings,comparisons, standards, and expectations.
Magazines,commercials and tv shows adorned with the "perfect" bodies. The pressure to be that someone is constantly in our faces. Technology has opened up new avenues to those of us who aspire to be somone we are not. Plastic surgery, implants, laser and the like almost mandatory for many.
So where am i going with this?
Right here of course. Here in NN, every corner you turn, you are being assessed, judged even. Your photos have ratings, you are told how many times you are viewed. Your blogs have a view count. And those that are the most popular are given a seperate list. Same goes for those of us who are compulsive bloggers. Yes you can see how many times you have blogged with a list for the most updated. Forums, same deal. Profiles....once again.
About the only place left where you are not rated or counted is chat. I must admit that i have fallen in this trap of taking note. Yes i have made a list being one in the most updated blogs. Yes i have made a note in my blogs that im nearing x amount of views. And i have made comment on others blogs when they reach a certain milestone. But what are the implications of this. Yes we have this wonderful fantastic community here, the likes of which i have never encountered before on the net. This site is unique.
There are many wonderful people here but lets not discourage them from enjoying this site to its fullest potential. Lets just enjoy it for what it is. Let us be able to escape this cruel world full of image pressure and be who are.

omg........
what has happened

lmao wow a chain reaction and it seems like all are under the same impression.
Well there wass no warning that this was going to pop out and whack us.
And im not so sure that this is the right way to go. I do know that there are many, myself included at times, that use the blog to express personal feelings, kind of get thoughts out onto the page.
I for one would be reluctant to do this now, as i am sure many others would be too.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
No i dont like it and did take some comfort in clicking and returning back to the way it was. Felt much nicer.

On advantage though is that the blogs of peopple i do read, i was able to much quicker and many that i would like to read but dont have the time to manage, well i was able to read them to.
Maybe a better option would be to still have that screen as an option to go to , but instead you can view a list of your favourite blogs showing their last updated blog, a bit like the favourite profiles section but for blogs.

Well that little experiment was not up to what i expected lol.
Out of the 41 people who viewed i manage to get 7 responses lmsao.
And out of it im now considered BOSSY....wtf......ok aps i guess i had that coming.

And you may ask Hey Toy your still here......
Well its the same old story. That day of finality just keeps on staying that way. As the say tomorrow never comes. Well thats how it feels. But it will happen it has to. It is now looking like friday. Im still chasing this loose end around and should catch it and tie it up by tommorrow.

So to pass away these lonely nights i have decided the old brain matter is rather sluggish so a little stimulating activity has been in order................

couldnt believe it, but without a minute to spare i had the house ready. In fact as i was finishing the very last thing the agent turned up.
Now all i need is someone to hurry up and buy it

Two floor trims to attach
And im sure there is a few other little jobs that i have so far overlooked

well finally i have made it back to my little world here in these pink coloured pages called blogs.
Busy Busy Busy pretty much sums up life for me at the moment. House nearly complete........goes on the market on Saturday.
Going to be a quick sale i just know it.
In between i am still working...have one last job to complete and this chapter in my life is all but over. I can hardly wait to turn that last page. Yeah Yeah i know i said i was retiring oh back in November...or was that December I cant remember but thankfully i didnt.......the money has been needed.
well semi retirement is just around the corner. That is until i decide that retirement isnt fun and find something new to occupy myself with.
Well this could be my second last blog for a while. Will squeeze another in tomorrow, but after that will be offline for a bit until everything is reconnected down south.
A couple of issues there with connectivity but it will be sorted....hopefully
