Nearly forgot to blog,but as you'll have guessed I passed my exams,made all that studying,& at times wishing I'd never started it all,all those months ago worthwhile.So I'm officially Nurse Charlie now...bed baths a speciality

Didn't go out tonight,stayed in & celebrated with a bottle of wine (& watched Big Brother eviction!!!)...me & Micky are going out tomorrow night instead.
Thanks for all your wishes & comments,they certainly helped me

Thursday, June 22, 2006, 10:44:06 PM- Hmmmm..Good news & not so good news...

Firstly my final nursing exam went really well today even if I say so myself...I find out the results & consequently whether I've passed on July 14th...whoopee no more studying or cramming

Micky spoke to his mum tonight...the good news is the cancer on the kidney is miniscule & has virtually gone due to the chemo,consultant is not worried about it at all...however they've found NINE cancerous lumps on her liver the largest is 1" ,the other eight are approx 1/4" each.They don't want to operate unless they really,really have to because of her age & also she would have to lose 1/2 her liver.So at the moment they've given her 2 options...more chemo to try & reduce them (hasn't worked so far !!!)or at least keep them in check...or option 2 is two burn them off with a probe (apparently doesn't always work & has its dangers as well).But overall it was very positive,she seems as though she's had a small weight lifted from her shoulders,& Micky seems a lot more at ease tonight.
The thing that choked us both was she's asked for our bank account number so that she can transfer a couple of thousand pounds to help us with buying the house in Kent.Totally out of the blue but very much appreciated.When you've got good ones parents are the best things in the world,they never let you down & they're always there for you.

Well I'm gonna have a quick half hour on NN then it's off to bed ready for exam day...or should I call it D-Day tomorrow.I tend to get a bit nervous at exams,have even been known to be physically sick just before an exam !!!But hay-ho I feel reasonably confident,so as I said before fingers crossed.
Micky phoned his mum about the cancer results tonight (she lives 300 miles away),but didn't get an answer (& she hasn't got an answerphone).This can mean a couple of things a)she was tired after a busy day at hospital,so she had an early night (all this hospital/consulant business does take a lot out of her) b)it's bad news & doesn't want to worry micky.
Micky doesn't seem too worried,in a way he was glad she didn't answer the phone,strange I know,but it means another day of not knowing the worse.I know he's not looking forward to phoning her tomorrow as he feels it's bound to be bad news.
Anyway,I don't want to depress you all,tomorrows another day,& there's always some-one else worse off than you,so smile & be thankful for what you've got no matter how small.

Hi,
Just to let you know what we've been up to...as you know I'm taking my nursing exams,I'm on the final leg now,one more to go on June 22nd,then no more studying,no more cramming & no more exams...yippee!!!(thats if I pass,which fingers crossed I should do).
We're (me & hubby 'micky07') also in the middle of selling our house & buying another one,which as you know can be a bit stressful.But we're in the lucky position that we get a house with Mickys job at a peppercorn rent,so the house we're buying we'll be letting out for the next 17 yrs until we retire,then we move into it...its in a lovely village in Kent,which will mean nothing to anyone outside the UK as I should think the only place you'll know in the UK is London !!! Actually we'll be 30 miles below London.
I'm not sure if we told you before but Mickys mum is not very well.Last year she was diagnosed as having cancer of the bowel...they had to operate & take out all her bowels & they fitted a bag.She had sessions of chemo etc, & we thought that would be an end to it.However when she had her final check ups at the end of Feb they found it had spread to her kidneys & liver,both she & Micky took it really badly,she's had all sorts of tests,extra chemo,etc.Last Fri she had two final scans,the results are due back on the 21st June,which is when they decide what they can do,if anything.Micky has been checking on the internet & it looks like if they don't operate (which they may not do because of her age...she's 73)then more than likely she'll only last 18mths tops.Micky has his ups & downs,tends to throw himself into his work so as not to worry as much, & dips into NN now & again & does a bit on the forums.I think its the waiting that is the worse,the not knowing.
I feel a bit guilty when I go on NN at the moment but he says he really doesn't mind,as you probably noticed we haven't taken as many pics lately,Micky still takes some of me now & again to keep my 'fans' happy.
So roll on the 21st/22nd June (my exam & mum-in-laws cancer results) then hopefully we can get our lives back on track.

Hope you all had a good Xmas,we enjoyed it,a bit of a break,hopefully we can get back to some sort of normality though!!! Thanks for all your Xmas wishes in the PMs we had,even micky (my hubby)had some which he was pleased & surprised at.Lets get New Year out of the way now & hurry up sunshine & warm weather.Just about got the hang of this new camera now...as you will have noticed at one point the pics were too yellowy,then too bluey,however I think they're OK now.So expect some good clear close-ups & some good quality vidoes..up until now I've had to vid from the TV screen,now I'll be able to upload direct.
I want to ask you all a favour,those reading this could you spare the time to go to 'SEXY MILF'pics,she's had a few probs lately with a few assholes leaving nasty comments & voting her down,& saying spiteful things in the forum.I've got involved in the forum to give her some support,then the asshole even started picking on me,insinuating that I'm some sort of low life for doing pee pics! I'm not expecting any of you to get involved in forum fights,or even comment on her pics if you don't want to,but if you could give her a few 10s & show her that people do care it would cheer her up.I don't like people being bullied especially friends.
Right I'm off to bed now as I'm a bit tipsy..night-night..xxx

I've got some good news & some bad news,the bad news is I'm getting so far behind on replying to PMs & comments its unreal,but I'm still going to carry on trying.The good news is we've got a new camera,so after some initial test pics expect some really good clear close ups..we've even bought a tripod as well...thats dedication.So to all of you who haven't had a reply yet,we do love getting them,keep on sending them & you will get a reply,hope the pics make up for it.
