Sunday, June 22, 2008, 10:29:25 PM- couldnt summer have started one week later??

oh boy... summer should have started one week later, when most of my finals are over. it is past midnight here now and it still has 25°C (77F). my room is towards the south, which makes it stove-like during the day and with temperatures like this at night it does not get much cooler then either.
i already changed my dayrhythm a bit to learn during the cooler hours, but it does not help much. the fan is running on max, i am naked, my hair is up and i still thinking about getting all of my stuff out of my fridge to sit in there for a little. i keep having phantasies... non sexual ones like laminating my lecture notes and sitting within reach of a sprinkler. ok, i admit it, i do have more brutal ones as well, it usually does not end well for the prof that holds the final tomorrow, but i try to prevent those.
anyone living in, lets say alaska, who could send me some cool air?

i just got a new espresso machine!! bought it on ebay today and picked it up a couple of hours ago. (it was a real bargain... a 149€ machine for 45€, almost new, just one scratch on the water reservoir, but hell, that is not visible when standing somewhere) Another positive thing about it was that the seller is just something like 50km away, so picking it up myself was cheaper than having it sent.
The only drawback now is that I "had to" (you know how that is when you have something new) give all of the Nespresso kinds I own a test (and I do not own any of those caffein-free ones). So, do not wonder if I stay online here for quite some time... getting sleep might be a bit difficult today

Friday evening was here... and went way too quickly. Bikerbonez was right... time should have stood still, but it did not.
Anyway, I am very happy at the moment, for different reasons. One is that Mr. Benefits was here and we had a great great time. An unbelievable time actually *dream* *sigh*. There was talking, there were nasty parts, there was cuddling. It was the perfect evening. He is gone now since he has to get up really early tomorrow and I can sleep in. I would not have any problems with that but being the kind, understanding, adorable, loveable, wonderful person he is he knows that I had a stressy week with lots of morning classes (which I am absolutely no fan of) and he wants me to be able to have a undisturbed morning. *hug*

The other one is that I passed one of my horror finals- with a B!!! Never thought this would be possible. After writing it today I was like: Ok, the other course takes this final next week, I am sure I can try again then. But my oral part went great (not what you think, nasty!!) phonetics and pronunciation, NOT sex. My teacher did not find a single pronunciation mistake and told me my English was "nearly native" and that helped me a lot. My transcription seems to have gone ok as well, and my lack of theoretical knowledge might have been less dramatic than I thought it was. (still dramatic, like an 8 on a 10 point chart) But all together it worked out and this B is the best thing that could have happened to me in this course.

I really want a time machine. While I could very well miss tomorrow and friday morning I want friday evening to be here. I am SO looking foreward for it. I have not seen Mr. Benefits in a long time and I do miss him dearly.
I miss everything. I miss talking to him in person. I miss hugging him. I miss smelling him. I miss seeing him. I miss touching him. I miss looking into his eyes....

Oh boy... chaos.

I will be in Sussex in July, and in California in August. And I will have to teach there! Poor students (lol) but I get more money for it... and I have less time to spend it, so I guess there is a positive site to it.

I really hope that it will stay like this now.

Last blog updated... Most likely I will not be working in Avon(UK) but in California in the summer!! The Sussex one is fixed now, but since I got the label "hard worker" I get a bonus, if I want it, and can go to the US for 4 weeks. That means: less work, better weather, more sights (since there are more day trips) and more money (since it is four instead of three weeks).

Now I only have to find out if I still got some finals in this one week which the course starts earlier and I have to tell Mr. Benefits the news. Not sure how he will react when he finds out that I will be out of the country for seven weeks, but, well, he will have to live with it ;P.
*edit: right now he is just happy for me, but I think when he thinks about it he will realise just how long seven weeks are*

Seven weeks without NN, unless one of the California people on here takes me in for those weeks

So I will most likely be in the US almost all July, and in the UK for a while in August. I am really getting around this year, and all of a sudden I am happy that Cuba did not put a stamp in my passport.

Got an important call today. Looks like I will be working in the UK for six weeks again this summer. Three of them in the more western area (Avon, or whatever it is called now), which I have never been to before, and three in the south eastern part (sussex).
That is fine with me, six weeks mean double the money I would have earned in three, the only stupid thing is that i will have to bring all my stuff back to Austria for some hours. After my three weeks in the west I will have to pack my suitcase, fly back to Austria, where I will not even have enough time to leave Vienna, and fly back to the south east the very next day. I do not mind the travelling... what i mind is the suitcase carrying me... no fun, i can already tell.

Now all I have to do (sounds so simple, yet is so hard) is writing something like 8 papers and taking something like 15 tests within the next 5 weeks (omg, the thought alone freaks me out), some of which i do not have the slightest clue about. does anyone know english phonetics? i mean is anyone able to actually write that stuff? yes? are you willing to teach me? i will pay in naturals if that is ok.

last round through the forum now... then off to bed. sociology scipt is already on my nightstand... got to seriouly learn that tomorrow... but maybe it will do some good today and put me to sleep fast.

Nothing like a bit late night non-sexual action! I have been playing with myself when I thought: something feels odd down there... when I regained conciousness I noticed that the ball on my Triangle piercing was gone! No panic I thought, find the ball. I found it. (relief!) Ok, well, since it is open I can put something else in I thought, grabbed my little bag with all my piercing stuff, chose another one and tried to get the original one out.

It hurt! (and you do not want ouch there) But I could not get it out for the life of me, the ring is way to narrow. So I carefully turned it back round till the open part was on top again. Next goal: put the frigging ball back in. It got out on its own, so it should be rather easy to put it back in, right?
WRONG. I tried it for over one hour. My fingers were dumb, my piercing hurt, the ball was still out.

Next thought. Get help. I got online and first checked my piercers homepage and found out that he will be available at noon (over 9 hrs away). Thinking about how I could close it till then I decided to have a look into my favourite piercing websites forum. Nobody there, no surprise, but they have an excellent search function.

And yes, people had this problem before! I was relieved beyond measure. The hint read: "get disposable latex gloves. You get a way better grip at the ball and it will snap right in." THANKS to Mr. Benefits I have some of those (do not ask

), I got them, got the ball (which somehow seemed to become smaller and smaller which each of my tries) put it into the right position and within two (!!) tries I had it in!

Relief! I will still have to catch my piercer some day soon to make sure this wont happen again, but right now I am just exhausted and happy.

But you know what this means, right? Not every late night action is good late night action!

I have to go on cold turkey for a bit... Mr. Benefits is off for a while and there will be no talks with him, no soulmate like moments and yes, no meetings but that is the point I can cope with the easiest.
I know him for about 3.5 month now... we have been talking for hours every day (beside my time in Cuba, but even there we wrote a lot of phone messages) and even this won't happen this time...

I know I am crazy. Crazy about him. Just step aside when you run into me
