It's Friday and I haven't really been reading blogs all week - I've just dipped in and out which is not as satisfying. This week, I have had that sort of cross eyed tiredness which means I can't stay online for too long. I've just come home, had me dinner, lots of hugs with the Mr and gone to bed!

We've got a very social weekend ahead though to make up for it, friends, friends and more friends. I am out for a pre-wedding meal with friends tonight and looking forward to that.

It is an uber civilised version of a hen night. I am not a fan of covering prospective brides with condoms and doing crap snogging dares, flashing my bits etc. when off my face. It's just never been my thing, so a lovely meal sounds just about right! She also has a real hen night but I am away that weekend, thankfully

God that last paragraph makes me sound like a real prude, which I'm not - I'm here showing close ups of my innermost flesh to complete strangers for goodness sake! I have no probs with other people having doing the whole hen night thing if they want to, I just don't like me having to do it

Maybe I am a self-prude.... nah can't be

If you grew up in the UK in the early 1980s and remember the kids' tv programme "Screen Test" and the effects of combining "Space Dust" and coke, I think you might enjoy this film.

I loved it - brought back lots of memories of being a kid in the 80s and has left me feeling more than a bit warm and fuzzy.

The kids in the film were excellent and I am left with one question. Why, in this day and age, a time of easy access to camera equipment and great technology, isn't there a "Screen Test" on tv anymore? It can inspire such fun and creativity amongst kids! Bring it back!

Kids today just don't know what they're missing... not like it was in my day... etc.etc.!

Speaking of "warm and fuzzy" best go and shave my legs....!

I had a really peculiar dream last night caused by NN! It was actually a bit distressing at the time, but amusing on reflection!

I dreamt that I was in work, sitting at my computer (only in a building I haven’t worked in for about 5 years!). Without thinking about it, I tapped into NN and started to fiddle with my pics and browse profiles. I was having a great time, until… I realised that I wasn’t in the comfort of my home, was doing this in work….!

Now I am not allowed to access anything vaguely naughty or dodgy on my work system (and in reality it wouldn't let me as we have very high security settings) but in the dream, it let me access the site.

I had a feeling of doom – for browsing porn I would be disciplined for and perhaps even lose my job! IT would have a record of me accessing the site and would tell HR! Oh god, everyone would know I was on NN too! I asked someone (who was randomly there) what I should do and they recommended ringing IT, telling them I had made a mistake and pleading with them to make any IT logs go away.

I looked at the clock. It was 9pm… Why the Hell was I in work at 9pm?! (you’d be lucky to get me in work most days at 9am, let alone pm!)

I spent most of the dream trying to unsuccessfully ring IT, getting more and more anxious and upset! I eventually got through to someone who was obviously pissed and in the middle of a party. I couldn’t speak to him properly but he knew who I was (which was a bit spooky). He told me who he was, but I’d never heard of him!

I hung up and the dream seemed to continue in the vein of Scooby Doo crossed with Lost. We (suddenly there were about 10 of us) were running around the building a lot, down dark corridors leading no-where, chasing something and then turning around and letting it chase us. Then, very suddenly, we were all in a cinema tied to the seats. Something was going to chop our heads off (apparently!). The “something” in question was no-where to be seen however.

Then, who should burst in, but the party of IT people, led by the bloke I’d spoken to on the phone (he still knew me but I have never seen him before in my life). These people were in costume – they were dressed like weird 18th century French aristocrats (powdered wigs and faces and all!). They cut us free and rescued us and we started to party (I think to “Loveshack”

This scene of the dream reminded me of the end of all those 1980s films with people like Rodney Dangerfield surrounded by bikini clad women, shouting “Hey let’s party!”.

The creature or whatever it was, disappeared, and everyone was happy.

I remember feeling the irony in the dream – we were saved from having our heads chopped off by people dressed as members of the French aristocracy. When I woke, I couldn’t work out if:

a) this means something but fuck knows what!
b) my brain has just dumped a pile of useless nonsense out
of my head!
c) I am not totally sane

Anyhow, answers on a postcard to Chesty McBemused.

(I was also feeling very anxious for the first 10 mins of waking as all I could remember was the feeling that I was going to get into trouble at work! It is amazing how dreams fuck with your head when they are that realistic!)

It's been a busy old week so not been here that much. I need to get my blog reading fix! I am taking today off to pop along to the National Eisteddfod of Wales. I've never been to the Eisteddfod and considering it is Wales's cultural festival and the venue is local this time, I should really make an effort to go

Lots of people I know are there today (working and visiting) so should be fun. I probably won't understand a lot of what's going on as my Welsh is not that great, but I'll do my best!

I HATE car alarms that go off randomly every 2 mins, whooping like crazy seagulls, then stop so you think it's been switched off... then go off again.... and so the cycle continues for a good half hour!!!

Arrrgh it's so hot I have to have my window open... but it's so loud and irritating.

Perhaps I need more wine and less whine!

Ooooh "Mae hi'n stormus!" as we say in Wales (it is stormy!) It is still humid but I am not sticking to my leather chair any more so it can't be too bad lol!

I went to a great performance art festival thing on the weekend - have got some pics of that to post soon.

Also, got a silly comedy farmers tan yesterday whilst eating alfresco in the sun. Not a good look for a nudey person so no pics from me for a while lol! I look like I am wearing a white v necked t-shirt with nipple printing on it!

This is how beautiful it was in my locality yesterday!

Popped into chat yesterday evening too and had a nice time. I will definitely venture in again! Thanks to juicy and anya for being nice as always!

Mr McB is having curious chatroom moments this week. We don't do a lot of chatting online and to be honest, I prefer the normal chatting like talking about TV, the world and maybe skirting around what sex is all about for me in a slightly flirty way. I am just not a virtual sex fanatic - it does very little for me. I just like to have a laugh and get to know new people.

Mr McB is much the same. As he puts it he "likes to bullshit with people!".

We are on a couple of other sites and he's found one of them which has an ok chatroom and people are pretty respectful. He wasn't going to check out the chat room here as to be honest, I always found it a bit of a nightmare in the past when I have come on to have a general chat with friends. I'd say I was busy and still get lots of people desperately trying to get me to cam with them. Grrrr! Mr McB did however pop in chat yesterday and said it was actually ok.

I may be tempted now to pop in there from time to time. If you see me in there say hello, but remember I'm not there to get hot n heavy with you!

Had a good sleep but was awake and up by 8am. I just can't sleep in any more! I used to love lying in bed of a morning until 11am, wrapped in a cuddly quilt.

Mr McB's son and 5yr old grandson are coming to visit this evening and staying until tomorrow. I must admit that 5yr olds usually tend to make my head hurt after about 10 mins of exposure but he's really funny and well behaved so am sure it'll be ok

LOL I had a good chuckle at the comments below this morning. Yay I am not old at all when I can feel like a 25 year old - literally when it comes to feeling like trucksnfucks....
