I hate some of the people I work with sometimes. Feckers! Grrr! They treat people like dirt and are so bloody egotistical.

It's a good thing there are a few normal folk around to keep me fairly sane! Life is just too short to have to battle with other peoples egos!!

If I had a superpower, I've decided I would like to have "uber boober ego-reducing nipples". One flick of my super-nip and the ego in question would shrivel away!

Bloody Ell! It's only February tomorrow and I have already seen shelved stocked with Easter Eggs. The madness!!

Hoping for some snow tomorrow. We don't really get much snow at all here. Am right on the coast and it tends to be warm, wet and windy! (all year round hehe)

Even better is knowing I have a day's study leave tomorrow so don't have to go to my office 9 miles away and worry about how to get home when the snow comes. We in the UK are really awful at handling even a couple of inches of snow. Accidents abound on the roads, people drive at 10 miles an hour, roads are deemed to dangerous and closed off and public transport grinds to a hault.

Mr McB (an American used to driving in the deeper white stuff) mocks me and this isle when the snow comes lol. I don't blame him either. For a nation obsessed with talking about the weather, we are not very good at preparing for it!

...and I am still no taller

Had a lovely weekend of eating and drinking some nice wine. I was wide awake at 1am and raring to continue partying. Unfortunately all my friends were yawning and stretching by then, so we headed off home. Probably for the best - at least I was hangover free the next day - woohoo!!

How is it that you can have a few drinks one night and have the biggest hangover in the world, then another time you can drink a bottle or two of wine and feel fantastic the next day!?

Am just stretching and yawning today. It's one of those days I would be happy to spend, well... just stretching and yawning like a lazy kitty! (and occasionally perving of course)

I do however have to go out this evening for a 40th birthday meal with some friends. It'll be nice, but I suspect after a lovely 3 course meal I will want to just stretch and yawn!!!

Woohoo it's a miracle! (but it's also earlier than I usually get home)

I don't mind the Winter but I really hate getting up in the dark, going to work in the dark, coming home in the dark etc.... I don't even like to have sex in the dark - with me it's switch the floodlights on, show me what you've got and what you are going to do with it!

I hate being mucked about with for medical reasons, especially "down below" as my mum would say in hushed tones (referring to her vagina, not a visit to Australia).

On a positive note today I received a hospital appointment to go have a musco-skeletal scan to look at my back pain issues. The NHS systems really do work!

However the next letter I opened was from the cervical screening folk telling me that I need to go have a coloscopy as my smear showed up as abnormal. I am not worrying hugely at the moment, but I am disturbed generally about having to go, having someone poke around down there again and having to have some sort of treatment, depending on the outcome. I am a real wuss when it comes to things of a genital medical nature.

It's been a while lol. I will probably never get to full time daily blogging as was rubbish at keeping a diary as a child! I am however trying to be here more often! I have more pics to post too so must try to do that this weekend.

I used to come here just for the pics, then also for the forum but I must admit now I really enjoy the land of Blog. The blogs are so varied and interesting (as are the peeps who write them of course). There also seems to be less tension here.

Anyway what's happened since my last entry.... well the main thing is that I am now another year older! I seem to be creeping faster and faster towards the big 40 lol. It's always a shock that I am in fact approaching 40 when I still feel about 18!

I am not worried about it at all. Fuck it, there is nothing you can do so why not enjoy the ride! It does however seem weird to be there when a couple of years ago I am sure I was about 12 lol. Where does the time go?!

Given the choice, I would never ever want to be 18 again and have all the angst and worries that go with it. I do quite like being older now and I feel far more chilled about me and about the world in general. I don't care what people think about me (apart from those who I care about) and am not afraid to say "NO!".

My cheesy lesson of the day is - make the most of your time, it really is the most precious thing we have. Do what you gotta do on your life journey but don't forget to stop every now and then and enjoy the scenery! That is what I think has helped me stay young inside. Oil of Olay has helped me cope with the outer ageing!
