Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 6:16:03 AM- Moving about
For the first time in months, I will be going to the gym tonight. I enjoy going as I do genuinely feel better after it, but have never been sporty. When I was poorly over the last few months, this was the first thing I dropped due to my crappy energy levels!

Am hoping to get nice and fit by June, as my big yearly work event runs then and I will need all my strength and stamina to make it through the week. I need a lot of energy to boss people around wink

I will probably be aching like Hell tomorrow but I need to start exercising properly again.

Saturday, April 19, 2008, 4:20:14 PM- Back to the Future
It's funny how some things stick with you over time and remind you of past events or just about another time in your life.

I have been watching (and I admit dozing a bit through - as I am tired) "Back to the Future" and chuckling.... when not sleeping.

I remember me as a 15 year old kid and a bunch of friends paying to see this film in the local flea pit and getting so excited about seeing it because we all fancied Michael J Fox!

There we were in suitable 80s attire, with big hair and plastic jewellery, cheering and laughing with each other, looking at the boys from the Sixth form at school - who were like gods to us, and working out who we'd like to marry. LOL! We loved the film so much that we hid in the cinema and saw the next showing straight afterwards for free. It was a great day!

It takes me back to the past, so to speak, and I have enjoyed seeing it again today. Who would have thought I'd still remember every detail of the first time I saw it some 23 years later smile

LOL I forget where I put my keys every other day!!

Sunday, April 13, 2008, 2:59:46 PM- Sunday
Well I've been up since 8.30, have eaten a jam doughnut, watched a bit of the London marathon, fallen back asleep, woken up to have a nice relaxing bath and now need to consider doing just a wee bit of weekend work. It's either that or I get up really stupidly early to do it tomorrow morning. Eeek! At least if I do it now, I can have something to eat and maybe go for a little nap wink

In the meantime, I will cheer myself up by posting pics of the next leg of the Italian trip. Here are a few of beautiful beautiful Florence. Since I was a bidding artist in junior school I wanted to go to Florence and take in the great artists and the amazing scenery. I was not disappointed and am deeply in love with Tuscany!

Thursday, April 10, 2008, 5:10:41 PM- When in Rome
.....You take a stupid amount of pictures!!

Rome was overwhelming, breathtaking and so old I just can't contemplate it. Had a great time and only saw a portion of it. We concentrated on the Colosseum and surrounding area. Did all the touristy things - threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain etc. We'll go back one day I hope.

Outside the Colosseum we were ambushed by men dressed as gladiators, who wanted to kill me (with plastic swords)- apparently to make Mr McB's "problems go away". I just think they wanted us to have a pic taken with them for a few euros....

Anyway here are some Rome pics.

PS Colosseum seems to be spelt in all sorts of ways!

Tuesday, April 8, 2008, 6:41:54 PM-
OK now I have finally worked out how to post some of my pics and not the ones with our faces in lol (good on you if you managed to access them in their brief existence!)...how about the first stop of the holiday - Pisa.

In a nutshell:

Beautiful area, amazing buildings, wonky tower, little streets, mopeds and bicycles galore and my first taste of lovely Italian food was a beautiful seafood salad - yum!! I never eat seafood in the UK as I am never sure how fresh it is or how well it is cooked. This was great!

We had a lovely time and chilled out in sight of the leaning tower drinking coffee and eating apple cake.

Here are a couple of pics of the sights!

Went back to work today - was ok actually. I actually feel as if I had a real holiday break smile

Monday, April 7, 2008, 12:08:01 PM- Buon giorno!
We are back from Italy! Had a fantastic time and will post more when I finish doing the unpacking, washing etc......

All I can say to all you Italians out there is that you are very lucky. You have one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen.

Took loads of pics - none of them sexy though I'm afraid. It was very romantic - so romantic that we never got time to get the camera out!

Ciao! wink

Saturday, March 29, 2008, 9:27:34 AM- Whew for now
I had some good news from the hospital today. Looks as if the treatment I had last month was needed and should have rectified my problem. Am keeping everything crossed that there will be no more treatment to be had in time! smile

Our rocker outfits are now complete and we are raring to party tonight! We look like Swedish rockers as we both have platinum blonde wigs lol! Mr McB also has a big blonde moustache so don't think he'll be able to eat or drink easily!

We also have an inflatable guitar ready for the obligatory air guitar contest! Tonight should be funny - I whole big bunch of 30 - 50 somethings dressed in silly outfits acting like kids smile
