Friday, July 25, 2008, 10:24:26 PM- Home sweet home
You know you are getting old when you have a pleasant night out, drink a few alcoholic beverages, feel quite sober and are home by 11.15 because you are:

a) tired
b) feeling a bit stomach achey!

LOL I am so boring wink

"You Know You're Getting Old When...

Your joints are more accurate than the National Weather Service.
Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
Your back goes out more than you do.
The twinkle in your eye is only the reflection of the sun on your bifocals.
You feel like the morning after when you haven't been anywhere the night before.
You finally got your head together, now your body is falling apart.
Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.
You wake up with that morning-after feeling and you didn't do anything the night before.
You don't care where your wife goes, just so you don't have to go along.
It takes twice as long to look half as good.
Many of your co-workers were born the same year that you got your last promotion.
People call at 9 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"
You can live without sex but not without glasses.
The clothes you've put away until they come back in style... have come back in style.
You look forward to a dull evening.
Your mind makes contracts your body can't keep.
The pharmacist has become your new best friend.
There's nothing left to learn the hard way.
You come to the conclusion that your worst enemy is gravity.
You start video taping daytime game shows.
You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who walks into the room.
Your idea of a night out is sitting on the patio.
You look for your glasses for half-an-hour, then find they've been on your head all the time.
You wake up, looking like your driver's license picture.
Happy hour is a nap.
You begin every other sentence with, "Nowadays..."
You constantly talk about the price of gasoline.
You don't remember when your wild oats turned to shredded wheat.
You sing along with the elevator music.
You are proud of your lawn mower.
You wonder how you could be over the hill when you don't remember being on top of it.
Getting lucky means you find your car in the parking lot.
The little gray-haired lady you help across the street is your wife.
Your idea of weight lifting is standing up.
Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.
Your ears are hairier than your head.
You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.
It takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.
You talk about "good grass" and you're referring to someone's lawn.
The end of your tie doesn't come anywhere near the top of your pants.
You give up all your bad habits and you still don't feel good.
Your childhood toys are now in a museum.
You can't remember the last time you laid on the floor to watch television.
You confuse having a clear conscience with having a bad memory.
You frequently find yourself telling people what a loaf of bread USED to cost.
You know all the answers, but nobody asks you the questions.
You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.
You got cable for the weather channel. Old Folks MTV!
Your new easy chair has more options than your car.
Your little black book only contains names ending in M.D.
Everything hurts and what doesn't hurt, doesn't work.
You find yourself beginning to like accordion music.
You have too much room in the house and not enough in the medicine cabinet.
You get into a heated argument about pension plans.
"Getting a little action" means you don't need to take a laxative.
Conversations with people your own age often turn into "dueling ailments."
You buy a compass for the dash of your car.
You take a metal detector to the beach.
The car that you bought brand new becomes an antique.
You are cautioned to slow down by the doctor instead of by the police.
You realize that caution is the only thing you care to exercise.
You don't remember being absentminded.
You have more patience; but actually, it's just that you don't care any more.
Your memory is short"

Sunday, July 20, 2008, 5:16:35 PM-
Today we went for a nice walk, not too strenuous but strenuous enough for me to know I've done some exercise lol! We went down to the local beach and walked a way around the coast. There is no sand really, mostly rocks. I had forgotten how hard it is walking on rocks - I certainly don't need to get on the cross trainer today. Am flaked out on the sofa now with a nice cuppa! smile

Am thinking about getting back to the gym soon. Am hoping that the thinking does turn into reality eventually! smile My gym buddy from work has lost over 2 stone. She used to be the chubby and unfit one of the pair of us. I suspect that I will now take on that role!

Maybe it'll spur me into getting fitter and losing a bit of weight.... though must admit, I am not that competitive by nature! It's hard to get my head around losing weight at the moment - I have too many nice biscuits in the house wink

Saturday, July 19, 2008, 9:49:51 AM- Weekending
I have been really inactive on here this week. I went back to work, which partly explains why! They really do make me work for a living!

I think the build up to the big event I managed, plus the week working away on it, has taken its toll. I am truly knackered!

I think I need to exercise more and eat more healthily again. I sometimes forget that up until a year ago, I had been battling for some time with chronic fatigue and had little energy to do anything.

Over the past 12 months my stamina has built up and I suppose it's easy to forget how tired I was for a while before. I am suddenly reminded that I am not 21 any more! It's rest and recup for me! smile

Looking forward to catching up on all the blogs I've missed over the last week!

Sunday, July 13, 2008, 3:43:03 PM- Cheesy Sunday
We headed off to the Bay for a food festival today and I bought 4 types of cheese. I love cheese. Bought one gouda, one gouda with nettle, one light cheddar with cranberry and one goat's cheese. Am all cheesed out now. We caught a waterbus over but walked back (yes I can walk across if not on water lol). I feel better about eating 4 different types of cheese, if I manage to walk a few miles home and burn off some of the lard in advance of eating it.

Am anticipating "cheese dreams" tonight! (mad dreams induced by too much cheese - if you can ever have too much cheese!?)

ohmy)

Friday, July 11, 2008, 10:20:28 AM- Last day off today
Well I don't go back to work til Mon, but the weekend doesn't really count as a day off now does it, as others are off work too. I just braved the weirdly tropical elements outside in order to pick up some groceries. It is warm and raining heavily and I am wet and a bit sweaty! smile

I need to dry off, have a clean and hoover around this place, make a lemon cream pie (yummy) and then have a nice relaxing bath.

I did take some pics this morning and will post them later on. I've enjoyed posting pics this week - I had forgotten how much fun it can be.

By the way I went for a bra fitting yesterday and they put me safely and comfortably in a snug 38F!!!! I have been wearing 40D/E for a few years as I had put on a fair bit of weight, but lately they seemed a bit big on me. I've lost about a stone so far but can't believe my bra size is so different as a result.

I remember when I was sweet sixteen and a nice, firm 36C... those were the days! wink

Thursday, July 10, 2008, 8:26:53 AM- I love freebies even when they are boring ones...
I had a good day yesterday. Thanks for the lovely comments and pms from posting pics - I forget how posting a few pics can re-introduce me to old friends and generate new ones. It's a good feeling smile After this week, I will probably be back to my occasional pic postings though lol. It's good to take leave especially if it means I have time and energy to take pics smile

Yesterday I also had two freebies - one connected to my phone contract and one involving free energy saving lightbulbs from my electricity provider. I know, it's boring, but I have had something without asking for it and I like it! I have no doubt I am paying for it in some other way I'm not aware of, but at the moment it's cool! smile

Here is the outfit of the day. Pics to follow later, when I have a chance to sort them wink

Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 9:19:12 AM-
Well it's my second day off today, the weather is awful so am just waiting for Mr McB to come home and we will have a day of DVDs and playing on the Wii.

I was going to go into town today to get my chest measured but don't fancy getting blown away for the sake of some nicely fitting "over the shoulder boulder holders". I am sure that my bra size has changed and I need some new ones so will be on a quest to find some this week. Apparently La Senza do a good job of measuring size .... and have a really good sale on at the moment. I know where I might be going tomorrow!

I did as I promised and picked outfit number 2 this morning and took a couple of picks. I am at my horniest in the morning and oh how I enjoy taking snaps! smile As it is a very wet day today, I thought a bathing suit might be best.... photos will be posted later....

Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 10:01:47 AM-
I have a few days off so thought I would start today as I mean to go on, get out of bed, shower and take a few pics. My plan is to do this every day this week as I have been rubbish at posting pics lately smile Mr McB is at work and they are self taken so excuse the wobbly camera angles lol. They got wobblier as time went on! wink Had to have a cold shower after!

Here is a taster...

Outfit of the day

Am off to meet Mr McB for lunch and have some me time smile

Sunday, July 6, 2008, 9:04:57 AM- New assistant required
So the good Doctor Who might need a new assistant eh. Well look no further.

I am a long time fan, could convincingly get a crush on David Tennant, can work electronic gadgets and I live in the area of filming so no need to put me up in expensive hotels - I even have a bed I could offer him...sorry, them..... wink.

They've filmed a couple of episodes of Dr Who and Torchwood in my street and the surrounding area but I haven't managed to see the Doctor ir Capn Jack yet unfortunately. smile It's cool to try and spot areas I know on telly though!

Am off to visit my mum today but the weather looks pretty dire. Her village is like Brigadoon at the best of times - in good weather is beautiful, scenic and dramatic, in the rain it is pretty dreary. It easily disappears into the mist, if not the mists of time.

I need to spend some time later catching up on blogs - I haven't been online that much lately as I have been catching up on real life (and more importantly, TV) since being away.
