I haven't been on in a while - was out of town visiting bald (yeah!!!) and then my twin came to town so have been occupied with life. Got the nipples repierced while visiting bald and it so sucks that can't play with them for a few months. I had forgotten about that as it had been 12 years since I had them done the first time.
Took some pictures while there but none out in the barn - it was way too damn cold for this warm blood to be cavorting out in Ohio winter weather.

Another day, another lost dog. I may not be going to people Heaven but I will surely be welcome in doggie Heaven.
I know this one had a Mommy as this Lab hadn't missed too many meals - he had to be 20lbs overweight if not more.

People - make sure you animal has a collar and a tag, even if they have a chip. It makes it alot easier on me - I can call and let you know I have your dog. and it's a lot easier on you as I know my county changes 50-100 USD for everyt time you have to retrieve your dog from the pound.

Starting last fall, it seemed that any lost dog in my neighborhood ended up at my house. All of these dogs hadhomes but just seemed to have gotten out one way or another. Had a lab puppy, a maltese, a shih tzu mix and a basset hound. Thought the lost puppies had lost my address and name but apparently not. Drving home from work today, was about 2 blocks from my house and 2 dogs darted across the road. Thankfully they were not hit. I could see the owner about 3 blocks back. She called for one and it came back but not the other. Heard her say his name was "Ziggy". Well, Ziggy decided he liked me once I called him.
Guess I thought of the puppies today as I have to take my Golden in for some more seizure tests. He is my original baby and am worried it is not epilepsy but a brain lesion or tumor as he had no history of any issues until the seizures started and they are not typical epileptic seizures. I seriously am starting to think that we should be able to deduct our "4 legged" kids on our taxes but, alas, the gov't thinks they are a luxury item.

It's only taken me three weekends - damn Arizona rain - to get the front and back yard mowed, weeded, and edged. However, got the front down 3 weeks ago and the back got done today. Now I have to rotate back to the front. Yardwork never seems to end...

Think I just need to find me a yardboy...

Think have realized in the past few weeks that I love my boyfriend but still like strange. The good thing is he allows me that freedom. The bad thing is he lives 2000 miles away. God sometimes sticks it in and breaks it off doesn't he? Meeting bald is one of the best events in my life - even with our tumultous relationship over the past few months.

I miss falling asleep with the person I am in love with - and waking up with that person.

Most people out here say that it rain whenever they was their car. Now, I used to believe that until I bought my house 3 years ago. now, it only rains whenever I decide to mow my lawn. As my house is over 20 years old, it has a pretty good sized yard - not like the newer construction homes out here that have the postage stamp lots. Wonder if I could get a wildlife exemption as my back yard could now be an animal sanctuary with how tall the grass is! Thank the big man upstairs I do not have a Home Owners Association. Those boogers seem to write you a notice if your grass is 1/4 inch to high, have a weed in the river rock or park your car in the driveway on an angle.

Wednesday, March 15, 2006, 5:50:42 AM- stress????

I am so tired recently - not like my usual chipper self. Let's see - in the past 4 days we've determined that my stepdad mostly likely has Alzheimers, my big loveable 11 year old retriever has epilepsy, my son is teething big time and my counterpart with my company's merger is a major pain in the ass. Couple that with lack of sleep and you get one chipper chicky (please detect sarcasm). My son and I are going to Ohio to see baldguy (his father) in 2 weeks - feel a little bad but am going to do the handoff in the airport and say "wake me up in 3 days". I really don't want to do much that weekend but sleep and sex - has been too long for both of them.
The good news is got unexpected $$ the last 3 days so maybe my group at work will win the Powerball tomorrow..a girl can dream.

Monday, March 13, 2006, 5:05:06 AM- The power of a nap

I have decided that naps are so UNDERRATED. I love my son, don't get me wrong but I miss those lazy weekend days where you could take a nap in the afternoon. Was in the middle of tiling my laundry room and my son had just taken his bottle. He fell asleep with it about 3:30 and, even though I was in the middle of a project, I was in my bed not even 30 seconds later. UI'm not even sure if the dogs had access to the dog door with the debris in the way of the laundry room. Don't know if I slept at all but at least got to close my eyes for a few minutes. Need football seaon to start again so can sleep through some ofthe boring games - especially if the involve the Cardinals.
