Blog Title: Superstitions

Rather than looking at it as a superstition, look at it as a symbolic action. The necklace represented the disease and you threw it away. Believe in the placebo effect.

I've never believed in karma or been superstitious either. What is gonna happen is gonna happen regardless of the bs. But it sure can be a mind fuck if you let it get the best of you. Do what's in your heart.

I think that as it is playing on your mind the way it is, it's better to avoid the stress and not replace it. I also like lenny's comment.

Oh dear, I’m not in the habit of superstitions myself, it’s what feels right for you in the moment I would say. I see the question regarding to significances relating to the illness and the fact you liked the piece of jewellery.
I would ask myself two things:
did you have the piece of jewellery before anything bad occurred through I’ll health?
Does the piece of jewellery make you feel pretty or even comfortable within yourself, and I’d it real pretty when worn.?
Aswering these simple questions, will point the way to your inner ultimate question. :)

Your heart will tell you what’s what regardless of tags associated with the piece of jewellery.

And by the way I’m glad your feeling wonderful health wise xx

I'm glad your lymphoma is in remission Juicy. Long may that be the case.

As to replacing the necklace, I think if you step outside the confusion your thoughts have created, but which sadly, you won't be able to now erase, and disregard all but one question, you'll have your answer.
Close your eyes and imagine you've gone ahead and bought the new one. It's in the unopened package now in front of you.
Are you so thrilled to have it that you can hardly contain your delight as you tear the package open?
Or are you so unnerved by the negativity and trepidation your thoughts have generated, that you can't bring yourself to open it at all?

Our minds are the breeding ground for our fears. How your thoughts came to be is irrelevant. They're with you now. So the only question for you Juicy (imho) is, will the necklace bring you pleasure, or pain?

Changes your perspective doesn't it, cancer I mean. Sucking random the way it hits people of any age or circumstance, like some bizarre game of Russian roulette. You are wrong with the "it will come back" statement else we all have to regard ourselves as fucked and I prefer not to be that negative. Keep your glass half full. It may come back. But maybe it won't. Will say a little prayer for you.
