Sweetheart, I can't give any advice...I had a very similar childhood to your friend from a very early age. But please pass on my love to her, let her know she is NOT alone in the world and that she CAN do this and it will get better one day, she has to know how much she is worth xxx

oh that is a horrible story! the worst care for a child is the state! she needs to forgive herself and get her boy away from the state. give her my very best.

she needs to be under care of Psychiatrist and therapist. GP's just don't treat severe chronic depression well. She should be able to get regular visitation with son while her ILLNESS is being regulated. Remind her that as much as he is her life, she is his world too.

She has to put her oxygen mask on before helping him. She is a survivor, and she will come come through this even stronger

what can I add....I can only empathise with regards the childhood and present situation having nothing. She does sound like a fighter and I am thinking of her hugs to your friend xoxo

Hi such a sad story I feel for her. It seems the one thing in life that matters most his her son, she is obviously a very good mother. She needs to stay focussed on getting better to get her son back. She wont do it all in one go. She needs to take small steps each day and when she feels like slipping back (which she will) she must focus on why she is doing it. Good luck Tony xx
