Raven you have to think of the fact that you often mention Bush in threads that have little to nothing to do with him. It is not that you are criticizing him it is the fact that you are constantly doing it...on AND off topic. I personally have little problem with someone disagreeing with the president but I would expect them to also know what they are talking about when they do do that.

I can understand you disagree with him just as I do but you don't see me posting a new thread on every little topic about Bush. I also don't agree with Blair or much of European politics and I do not repeatedly start threads trashing European leaders. We are reaching the height of criticism for Bush (and rightfully so) but many of those Bush supporters are sick of seeing and hearing the trashtalk therefore they are obviously going to get agitated.

Rave, "the President" and George W. Bush are different. That is what you do not yet understand at a visceral level. The President of the United States embodies the Nation... And (often to our sorrow) is the Head of the Government. There is the problem you have. You whack America and Americans when you whack Bush. Even though Bush is one of the most roundly despised presidents in recent history, "The Presidency" remains a sacred institution. PM me for more details, but as BM21 suggested, disagreeing with the man, the policies of his government, and the office holder's ethics or morality is less the issue than a constant barrage at the institution, warranted or not.

Raven, BM21 and TOT both make valid points here and I really have nothing to add other than to tell you I have found your blog to be very interesting reading.
