Its a fine tax free bit of advertizing which as you say helps a few as well. Something similar is that they are a main sponser to the the London Olympics. Its method is to invest in things that make them look good, when they still basically sell unhealthy products...

big-nickel-guy	1-May-08 1:30:25 for someone that claims to hate Mcdonalds and all it stands for you seem to eat there very often making mention of how you only eat half because its McDonalds. i eat at Mcdonalds once maybe twice a year and only when I have to not because I hate them like you say you do but because there healthier choices I can make. yet here you are eating at McDonalds every couple weeks it seems and yet you hate them and throw half the food away. so you have money to throw away on McDonalds but don't have money to buy a decent computer that lets you see warnings given to by support in open chat that everyone else saw. fascinating
