Status Quo
I've had something bouncing around in my head the last few days that I can't seem to get rid of. Even moreso after listening to the President's interview last night. I've never been much of a political person. To listen to him speak of his plan and how things ought to be.....seems like it makes perfect sense. The only thing is, why aren't we there? Simple......lack of support from our country. He can't muster up enough support to get a decent size army over there. People here don't notice a difference in their day to day lives since this all began (I haven't) so they figure "why are we there?". We sit over here all fat and happy thinking if we do nothing that things won't change.

The Catalyst
Economists forecast a depression in the next 20 years......a REAL depression. Worldwide depression. That will be the beginning. Governments around the world collapsing.....social unrest on a global scale. What then? Will we elect a leader strong enough to guide us through that? (doubtful) Like I said, I have never been very interested in politics......however, history is another story. I have a feeling when that time comes, we won't have to elect a leader. I feel pretty certain when that time comes a leader will arise like hasn't been seen since the times of Alexander the Great.

We elect our Presidents like they are something special.....but they are just men with a good resume and a diploma from Harvard or Yale (like that means anything). What we need is a GREAT leader.....one that leads not because he is elected, but because he was born to.

Don't chase what other people want, or what other people think you ought to want. Its about what YOU want.

Have a clear GOAL for YOU (don't raise the bar every time you get what you wanted....just be happy that you got it). How would anyone ever expect to be happy when they can't even define their own happiness. Just seems silly to me.....so simple. Unless of course your idea of happiness is "the chase" for things you can't have.
