the thing was hiring my husband. I always thought that if ever a couple could work together it was us, maybe im right, we shall see. it all started with complete employee incompetence and desperation for competent help. the fact that the Mr's shoulder is on the out and the Australian summer is already ramping up he was an easy yes.

and so the adventure of the proper Aussie high vis male transitioning to kitchen management begins.

poor lad has to figure out how to keep a busy catering kitchen full of women happy and im honestly scared they will chew him up and spit him out on the first shift

Long story short

I felt sick Thursday so I went in to work super early, not going in is not an option. It was the worst day to be sick, my grumpy ass big boss was In The best mood he pulled out an electric frypan and cooked all us girls bacon and eggs, except me cause I was sick and hustling though my work to get th hell home. But my courier noooiooo i missed him. I went in this morning and was Devestated when I asked if anyone saw him yesterday and one of the girls said “yeah I saw some random back there yesterday it was him”. Noooioooooo I spent a week looking forward to seeing him and all I can think is, was he disappointed when he saw my empty bench..........

I really really have got to slip this lad my number I think about him way to much

I could tel you all about the 100 million dramas that are currently occurring simultaneously at my job but... you know what...duck fat ..... I want to talk to y’all about the courier.

All types of my type and I’m telling you when I see him come through the doors I “woo” maybe a little lip curl “rrrr” . I noticed that he noticed me last week. that lad remembered my name and hell yes that was my pass. He came in today. I didn’t notice until he playfuly rammed me with his massive boxes, I looked up probably all pissy like and deadset softened when I saw the face. He asked me where I wanted the boxes blah blah and I was most definitely outwardly disappointed when he said that was everything and turned to leave but he said he was going to buy stuff and 😁 . I made damn sure I hung around just to talk to him some more. My coworker caught my line of “so you know my name can I know yours” and raised her eyebrows so high. But bless her kept him talking long enough I could ask him why he is aloud to wear a singlet instead of a uniform shirt while looking straight at his bare arms and shoulders, As soon as that man left my coworkers outright accused me of flirting I said “damn straight and call dibs” winked and walked away. I look forward to Monday hopefully he shows up cause I have to lap it up befor I move to the new place and miss out on seeing him on the reg.

Here where I’m at and apparently going ....

Before Christmas I got a job. It is basic, Monday but had work and the hours aren’t what you wish for. But the pay is great (for me) and I really like it. A few days ago the boss asked to have a word me: agh what did I do. He told me he has decided vv to change my position (snicker) without all the details the pay is the same but the hours are amazing. My job is a new position that I’m starting from scratch as my own. I’m over the moon Blah blah blah.

Buuutttttttt

I have my own Karen. She is nice enough in fact I get on well with her in a joking around sense but Since I’ve worked there we have already had multiple “words” mostly about her ignorance the last one ending in her walking out saying raised voice that she isn’t racist (no one called her racist lmao). But today I got called in to start working out the job.this woman was fine all morning until this afternoon she walks past and the convo goes as follows

Her: you’re a bitch
Me: What the fuck did I do
Her; you’ve been here 3 minutes and you get the job I been here three years and he didn’t even ask me.

Sigh later I walked in on her whining to the boss about it. I tried to make light of the situation the boss clearly appreciated the moment the woman clearly did not I just walked away.

Something in status reminded me of all the jobs I’ve had over the years I can definitely say working with other women is a bit more drama than I like. I deal with it, I’m pissed off but I’m empathetic enough to get why she’s pissed. Sadly for her I’m not known for backing down to workplace bitches so it’s a really good thing my section of the workplace is moving to another area in two months time.

Sloths are awful I do not and never have liked them. They aren’t cute they are irritatingly slow and no just no those claws are to long and honestly they make me think that at a moments notice they could turbo speed claw my face off but don’t....ever...they just carry on wasting time with that fake ass smile.

Chameleons are second make a choice ffs

First off let me say my heart is with all of you. No matter what stage of this your country has entered we are all community and I have an underlying sense of grief at all times for the human community right now.

Not in full lockdown here and no cases in my shire it’s been surreal. The schools are shut here now Most businesses are open, hospitality is really trying with just about every local cafe and bakery offering take away only and delivery, it’s not a sustainable option but they are trying. I am directly on the coast lots of grey nomads and an annoying amount of people out (naughty)so I stay home except to shop like later today (groan). The shops have really changed though markers everywhere for where you can stand, huge restrictions on how much you can buy. I’ve written a tactical list (large family) lol I googled the new restrictions and will do two stores and maybe put on a fake moustache and and eye patch and go back into the first one again. Then we do not have any reason to leave for two weeks minimum probably three.
My family had its first new world experience this week. An elder in the family died and what would have been a huge coming together and days long celebration was live streamed around the country 7 family members were chosen to be around the grave site and anyone else who chose to attend could stand around the perimeter of the cemetery abiding to distancing rules. It was an odd but amazing sight to see all the people circling the cemetery all standing alone but together. Very emotional..

I’m going to go down to a very secluded beach this afternoon though (blessings of being a local) let the dogs out I need out of my fence line for a bit while it’s still okay to do so.
