Sunday, August 4, 2013, 4:26:40 PM- Sometimes I wonder.......

Sometimes I wonder about the things that could have happened the things I wish had happened and the things that never will happen. Currently I am wondering do I have a huge sign on my forehead. One that everyone but me can see. One that states "This dude is weird and eccentric approach at own risk". Does this metaphorical sign cause people to leave me alone to my own devices and refuse to acknowledge my advances towards friendship, companionship, chatting, lust etc... I peruse the internet in hope of contacting someone preferably female who would acknowledge my existence. There isn't much in the way of entertainment here in the desert and little in the way of friendship as I am am to unlike my peers that it is laughable but alas still nothing. Perhaps one day. Until then "Sometimes I wonder....."

You know as I sit here in a third world country it is often the simple things in life that one misses. The simple ability to wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and not have to gte fully dressed and walk 50 yards to the bathroom. It is missing being able to cook your favorite meal. It is missing seeing a beautiful woman wearing attractive clothes walk down the street. It is just going out on a nice car drive. It is having your favorite drink in the fridge or right down the street if you run out. It is not having to worry if something is going to go BOOM. BUT despite this I know that it is a choice that I made and one that I would do it all over again. To serve my country and now to serve to better myself financially. It is not something everyone can do and I don't expect them to. But it does teach one to value the simple things in life when you have them.....
