dog pack woke me up early this morning (4:30 am). could tell it was not coyotes threatining livestock but rather human intrusion. Dog pack reaks havoc on coyotes, but smart enough to alert me to human intrusion. three lead dogs in pack half wolf. got dressed in insulated suit (22 degrees F.) and grabbed AR 15 with night vision scope and 45 pistol. gave dogs signal for silent tracking and set out. found tresspassors approximately 2.5 miles S by SW at catfish pond on my land. followed them in stealth mode for half hour and confirmed they were on an illegal coyote hunt. proceeded back to their vehicle wher I left them a warning note along with one flattened tire. this type of tresspassing doesn't occur very often as I'm a known commodity out here in the middle of nowhere that has a 0 tolerance policy for these yahoos. brought the pack back to ranch house for rest of morning and crashed out. RAIN my lead dog is getting quite old and this makes me most sad. he is my best friend and we have gone through quite alot togather. he is alowed to sleep at the foot of my bed and eats alot of steak. we have been through many battles togather with bears, cougars, badgers, and bobcats. we are both scarred up, him I guess more than me. each of us would die for each other. I had a small house built for my parents out behind my patio 6 years ago for my aging parents. My mom died 2 years ago, my dad is still doing well at 91 yrs. old. they were pioneer stock I guess. I took my dad to the doctor today and he is going to go Monday to have some more skin cancer cut off his face. I sent him on alot of trips with a personal care provider that works for me. He just got back from a trip to Oklahoma, Texas and Missasippi to visit his relations. He does real well for his age. He takes s 1 mile walk every day on my property and my dogs go with him for protection. He really likes my dogs and they like him too. He knows it's king of like being escorted by the mafia! It's getting late out here, time to call it a night and make sure all the animals are tucked in for the duration. Hope to hear from some of you out there in the world, best regards- kidblue
