Wednesday, July 5, 2006, 2:44:35 PM-
Well an uncle I havn't seen in 30 years has shown up here to see his brother(my dad).It was a bit awkward at first ,but it all went well and we all had a great time visiting and remembering. My Dad is still in bad shape, but his mind is there more than it was 5 days ago.We all thought he was slipping into dementia...but it was more the medications they were giving him.The 6 months that we were told have now been moved up to less than a month, and according to some doctors less than 2 weeks...so who knows.
I want to take the time to thank all my friends here who have shown me great comfort and joy thru this difficult time.
And a very special thank you to Benjie, she has shown so much thoughtfulness in her .I appreciate her greatly. She has given more than any mere words could ever show. She is a light in the darkness.
Another special thanks go out to my dear Steph...she is a thoughtful and wonderful freind who has helped me with my many moods.Knowing when i need an ear,a shoulder or a thought is a hard thing to have, but she always knows when i need one of them.
MD you are always there to distract me or offer good words of sincere thought and heartfelt support...thank you.
I am always in a good mood when i speak of my friends on here. And all of you are without having met...sincere friends.(you know who you are!!!!)
I am richer for it!!
I am also very much the same guitartxn you always have known...teaseing in the chat room and just plain having a good time.Dont ever walk on eggshells around me...true friends dont.

Tuesday, July 4, 2006, 11:23:08 AM- Touching
I am an avid reader and one of my favorite authors over the years has been Franz Kafka. He has written many very interesting pieces. This morning I was reading something on the net about him because July 4 was his birthday and I read a story about him that really touched my heart.Although he was depressed and suffered from anxiety his whole life during his last year of life he met a woman named Dora and was finally happy. One day on a walk through the park with her they came upon a little girl who had lost her doll. She was crying and upset.Over the next several weeks her would write to her every other day letters written by the "doll" explaining to her that she had gone off with friends and was enjoying a nice holiday.Eventually she got married to a nice doll she had met.
He himself died that same year never to be married, but happy.
I thought that was a touching side of a depressed man.And a very touching story.

Sunday, June 25, 2006, 1:29:46 AM- A tougher Blog than my ussual fun ones
Given a choice ,what would everyone choose? To live a little bit longer with a lower quality of life or to live shorter and still have a low quality of life but not quite as bad?
Hard question....one that I must face now.My Dad is in that predicament ,should he die in 6 months and face the pains of radiation and chemo or die quicker .Tough question, tough question......one that I wasnt real prepared to answer to him.My mother was looking for me for some kind of wisdom to answer this, and I couldnt answer right off, finally I offered the idea of bringing him home and letting him die at home and quicker, relatively at peace with my mom and his beloved pets around him instead of in the hospital incoherant most days and no longer the person he wished to be.Right or wrong that was what i suggested,of course my suggestion isnt the final answer in this;my 2 sisters still have to bring in their opionions. But I have put mine out there.
This will be a long 6 months or less......

Friday, June 23, 2006, 12:31:31 AM- something a bit different

Hey, I took the http://dragonhame.com online Inner Dragon quiz and found out I am a Bronze Dragon on the inside.

In the war between good and evil, Bronze Dragons take the side of the noble and good....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon walks a fine line between Law and Chaos....
As far as magical tendancies, a Bronze Dragon's nature does not lend itself well to the ways of Magic....
During combat situations, a true Bronze Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics....
The inquisitive bronze dragons live along the beaches and shores of the remote islands. The Bronze Cliffs house many lairs, with open portals looking out upon the churning sea high up stone face, and entrances located deep below the surface of the water. No matter their age, bronze dragons tend to be the most cheerful and good-natured of dragonkind.'
They love the simple challenges of riddles and harmless contests, and often number master riddlers among their demihuman vassals. They are fascinated by warfare in all its forms, eagerly looking for just causes to champion with their armies of dragons and demihumans.'
Bronze hatchlings have yellow scales tinged with green. Only a hint of bronze shines upon these overlapping plates. This color deepens as the dragon ages, slowly turning to a rich bronze tone that darkens as the centuries pass. Bronze Dragons have a deep and abiding love for the sea and its good creatures, while they enjoy feasting on aquatic plant and sharks. Dragon lords especially appreciate gifts of pearls, which they consider to be delicacies.
'
This Dragons favorite elements are: Bronze, Pearls, and Nobility

Saturday, June 17, 2006, 11:22:09 AM- about me
Well for my second blog I am just going to fill in a bit about me that may or may not be known.I love to play guitar as my name might suggest .I have been playing for 9 years now,I started late in life.I also paint, draw, sculpt out of stone, scrimshaw as well.I believe the creative mind is the most important thing in our lives.Creativity can take many forms. One can be creative with work, art, music, sexuality. As long as the brain is being used we will all stay young forever.I also love to read.I used to read fiction alot.I have read everything ever published from JRR Tolkien,C S Lewis,MIchael Moorcock,Stephen King,Douglas Adams and so many more to list. But lately I am more a nonfiction reader.I read alot of Joeseph Campbell,Bill Moyers also anything dealing with medeval or renaissance history.Philosophy is an important topic for me as well to read on and Joeseph Cambell is my fav teacher when it comes to that.My most recent book to have finished is "the book of books" a book on the history of books from the smithsonian museum.LOVED it to...tho on the surface it may sound a bit boring to some.
My love for history is so huge.I live in a place that abounds in histroy (as most do I know) but my area is very unique in the fact that it is recent history and so well known,at the same time misunderstood.Texas has had a very quick start in the big scheme of things.I live only 20 minutes away from the biggest battlefield in Texas histiry the battle of Goliad La Bahia.I been there many times .Hard to believe that such a beautiful place was once so bloody.
MY love of music is legendary here on NN.I love almost any type of music although I have to admit I am not a big fan of rap or modern country.I am a huge fan of rockabilly guitar as well, play some old elvis, carl perkins, chet atkins, johnny cash and i am smiling BIG.I also have a deep love of renaissance music. The Cheiftans,Blackmores night,Pentangle,Plaxity Irwin,John Rennborne are all favorites.Owain Phyfe is also a big favorite of mine.
I go to rennaissance faires all the time too.Nothing in this world is as important to me or as relaxing as spending some time walking the faire grounds in a renn faire.NOTHING.
I have 3 kids .ONly one biological child tho.My son is 16 going on 17.The other 2 children which i see all the time are both from my first ex wife. They are her kids that I have raised since they were little babies. They call me Dad and come over on the same visitation schedule as my son. They think of their real biological fathers as the secondary ones in their lives as they dont ever see them .I am the one and only constant in their lives.
I have been married 3 times. The first 2 times was to the same woman.I thought that with the kids involved and her going thru hard times that we could make a second go of it and make it work.I was wrong it didnt last 6 months the second time.My third wife lasted 8 years. All of the relationships I have ever had all ended in cheating from the woman.I could use that as a way to make myself feel bad ,but I dont.It is their problem not mine,I was faithful .I am currently still married to my third wife tho we havnt lived or been togeather for more than a year now.It isnt easy to divorce ...but it is getting closer as now I have more money than I used to.
I love animals. As my first blog may have suggested.I am not ashamed or afraid to say that either.I respect the group PETA(people for the ethical treatment of animals)I am not militant as they are but I do believe that animals need people on their side or mankind would run over them with no thought or care.PETA is the oppisite side of the spectrum to people who are total animal haters so it levels out very well in the middle and keeps things balanced.
I love my experiences here on NN.I have met and talked to some amazing people and hope that continues for the rest of my natural life(i intend to deep freeze myself when i die so i can be revived later....j/k lol) There are so many beutiful and intelligent people on NN and i love you all!!!!
special shoutouts to *Benjie*,Barefoot Babe,NWDave,juicy,MDGUY(perk) ,ditzybutsexy,sweethoneyblonde45!!!
Well so here we are at the end of another blog .Hope y'all liked it and respond to it as well smile

have a great and wonderful day!!!!

Friday, June 16, 2006, 2:44:04 AM- My first blog
It has been said by many of my friends that i should write a blog. And keep it up as well.Hmmmmmmm maybe i should...no promises on my sentence structures,or my opinions...as i am the kind that writes quick and sentence structure isnt my highest priority! LOL
So anyways,I heard today that the IWC(international whaling commision) has had a shift in the powers that be inside their organization.Meaning that there are now more people in the commison that WANT whaling to commence again than there are people in there that DO NOT want it to begin again. They still dont have the nessesary 2/3 majority they need to pass the resolution to make it start up again but they can start to pass resolutions to make it easier to start up again in the near future.Hmmmmmmmmm has this world gone insane or what???? I know I know...we have wars, terrorism, starvation, religious fervor causeing the world plenty of grief right now! But come on PEOPLE!!!! is this something that we really need?? doesn't anyone in this world think that whales are intelligent and endangered and there isnt anything we get from them that we dont already get from other sources.Do we really need to have whaling start up again and ruin the world for our children and our childrens children????Do we need to start thinking about putting up displays in the smithsonian museum of what whales USED to look like?
Well that was my pissed off thing today...
Now here is my question...
Why do we need prescription medication that has side effects WORSE than the ailment that we take them for??Like we fix our incontenence(no i dont have this LOL) but we may have...heart palpitations, severe nausea, headaches, anal drips, explosive dhiarria, insomnia, the inability to pronounce verbs with an "L" in them......please consult your physision....wait "consult "has an "L" so please ASK your doctor LOL

So here is my first blog...EVER....see ya for now!
