So gross! Let me explain, The other day someone stopped by my neighbor's house Knocked on the door hollered into the open window and then went to the back of his pick up truck and started rearranging some boxes and such. I thought that was odd but whatever and yes I did see him put a couple of things on the sidewalk but then he put some back in the truck.
No I wasn't being nosy!lol I was outside watching my Son ride his electric scooter.
So anyhow the guy takes off in his beat up pickup truck, I turn and look and there is a package of sorts wrapped in a trash bag. OK its trash night....thought nothing much of it but still odd for someone to leave trash in front of their friends house. I wasn't home yesterday(Fri)or today(Sat)until about 8 o'clock. As we park and get out of the car we get a whiff of something. Then get to the top of my stairs oh no that is a terrible smell. Immediately my Hubby checks under the porch...nothing.. we see a barrel across the street..nothing. Then I see it there it is..the package that was left behind the other day.
As we walk up to it 2 of my neighbors approach also. We couldn't even get too close to it.It was the worst smell ever I cant even find words to describe it. We weren't sure who to call about it and we weren't touching it as it was leaking something too. I call the business # for local police and they in return tell me to call 911!
I really didn't want to call them but we had no choice it was that bad, the smell. Apologetically I inform the dispatcher and she said an officer is on the way.(Hmmm on the way for a smelly box??)10 minutes(yep responded in 10 minutes) later an officer is putting on blue gloves and rips a bit of the trashbag..The stench was overpowering! He called for his Sergeant in return the Seargeant ,after partially inspecting it, wasn't going any further!
Next thing ya know my dead end street had 3 cruisers and the k9 unit. Inside is a box covered in duct tape as they cut the duct tape an officer says call Homicide! OM(F)G! I bring my Son in the house..He was recording all the excitement.
Uhmm somehow the Bombsquad was called instead. What goofs! lol They came so fast. One officer comes charging up my stairs to question me name address and why did I (Me?)call the bomb squad for a foul stench? Wtf are you kidding me! No one of the officers called you go ask them! lol
After all that they finally get the contents out..Inside the trash bag was the box taped as mentioned and inside that box was gross with maggots a cooler all taped up. At this point it was very hard to breathe,the stench permeated the humid air.Where is homicide they ask amongst themselves. An officer from the bombsquad said with a shovel in hand, I'm ready to open it all the way and see what the f* is in here! They way they responded at first..."Oh Shit" jumping back, Made me think the worst, this is terrible! Until they erupted in laughter! Huh?
It was a huge rotten fish head. What in the world? lol Why did someone go thru all that trouble to dispose of that and then just leave it on the sidewalk in front of someones house that they know?? Were they sending some sort of message to the tenants that he thought still lived there? Yes they moved out about 2 weeks ago. Whatever the reason was damn him and his smelly fucking fish!
After a long day of swimming and being surrounded by all sorts of family Hubby & I couldn't wait to get in the house shower relax Put the little one to bed, post some new pics(yes) smoke a J or a bong hit or two but ya can't do that with about 15 different police officers in front of your house for 2 hours now can you? lmao
I feel really bad for wasting all of their time however the way it was left there... well you just never know. A fish All that for a fish! I guess we should be glad it was just a fish.Now its almost Midnight, sanitation dept on their way! Police orders!
Sorry for sharing something so disgusting I find it easier to blog instead of always writing in my journal.
Funny I was looking forward to posting pics I snuck taking today but I think that will wait til the morning.
