Tuesday, November 4, 2014, 11:19:21 AM- What do you look for in a girl?
I look for her eyes. I want to see her eyes burn with passion as she talks about the things she loves. I want to see her eyes widen in wonder as we discover interests that we both share. I want to see her eyes gaze in fascination as she notices something beautiful that would often get overlooked by most. I want to see emotion in her eyes, real, heartfelt emotion. I want to see her eyelids slowly shut at the moment before we kiss. I want to see them flutter back open and connect with mine in a way one looks at thousand stars in the sky on a clear night; in amazement, in awe. I want to lose myself in herself and we can help guide one another to a better place. I want us to hold hands forever as we walk through life, but not in the physical sense - on another level, in our souls. We could be thousands of miles apart but that gentle breeze in the air will remind me of her breath on my neck. The warmth I feel when the sunlight touches my skin will ignite memories of the heat of her body pressed against mine.

I want to see the reflection of my own eyes in hers. I want us to share something together that we’ve never quite felt before, something that can’t be described in words, something that can only be translated through touch - if just holding her makes my knees feel weak… her kisses might just kill me. And what could do such a thing? Love. I want to share love with someone that touches my soul.

“When they ask me about my future wife, I always tell them that her eyes are the only Christmas lights that deserve to be seen all year long. I tell them that she has a walk that can make an atheist believe in God just long enough to say, ‘God damn’. I tell them that if my alarm clock sounded like her voice, my snooze button would collect dust. I tell “When they ask me about my future wife, I always tell them that her eyes are the only Christmas lights that deserve to be seen all year long. I tell them that she has a walk that can make an atheist believe in God just long enough to say, ‘God damn’. I tell them that if my alarm clock sounded like her voice, my snooze button would collect dust. I tell them that if she came in a bottle, I would drink her until my vision is blurry and my friends take away my keys. I tell them that if she was a book, I would memorize her table of contents. I would read her, cover to cover, hoping to find typos, just so we could both have something to work on, because aren’t we all unfinished?”

"It’s funny, when I think about this exact time last year. Things were so different. I never would have thought that things could change so much in only a year. I wonder what next October will be like."

"I know how you feel, bush. This has been the worst year of my life. It wasn't supposed to be like this. I had plans. Well, that saying is true - man plans and God laughs.
Let's hope next year is better for all of us.
xxxooo"

Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 9:18:03 PM- *Multiple sighs*
Today I had a lovely day out exploring, part of which was spent at a sculpture exhibition in a fantastic cathedral - awe inspiring is an understatement. I have so much love for churches, cathedrals and the likes. Whilst I'm not religious, I am still fascinated with everything that goes with it - you can definitely pick up a spiritual vibe in certain places. I love it smile

Whilst making coffee this morning I noticed something in my garden. The sun had cleared just enough of the fence to throw a splash of light on a rose bush I have, but leaving everything else in shadow. The sun was behind the rose and if anybody has noticed before, leaves and flowers that are backlit are absolutely stunning, it brings out such intense colours. I had to grab my camera as the light was just lovely:

A few weeks ago I posted about my health and general well-being. Tomorrow I have doctors appointment to check up on everything. Unfortunately the meds I've been on for the past 6 weeks haven't improved my condition, so we'll be talking about alternative treatments. *sigh*.. I hate going to the doctors but the fact my appointment is at 07:30 really rubs salt in the wound! Damn it!! Fingers crossed something good happens..

Monday, October 20, 2014, 11:52:38 AM- John Holt... RIP
Sad day sad

Veteran reggae star and lovers rock pioneer John Holt has died in a London hospital, aged 69.

News of the Jamaican singer’s death came on 19 October from Copeland Forbes, Holt’s manager since 2006, who confirmed his death to Jamaica Observer Online. “John died at 2:40am English time. His [John’s] nephew informed [us] of his death.” The cause of Holt’s death has yet to be confirmed.

Born in Kingston, Holt first rose to fame as a member of The Paragons in the 1960s, a group in which he penned The Tide Is High, a track which saw global notoriety in the 1980s with Blondie’s cover. During his time in the rocksteady group, he also penned hits including Tonight, Ali Baba, I See Your Face, and Wear You to the Ball.

In 1970, Holt left the Paragons to focus on his solo career, and soon became one of the biggest names in reggae, with his track Stick By Me, recorded with producer Bunny Lee, listed as the biggest-selling Jamaican record of 1972.

A crucial figure in Jamaican culture, Holt’s sound was known for its smooth ballad-styled qualities. This morning, the music industry has paid its respects, with Trojan Records hailing him as a “huge talent and a true gentleman”.

His last solo album was Peacemaker, released in 1993.
