Thursday, December 11, 2008, 3:07:41 PM- Has The World Gone Mad ???
On the new yesterday it was reported that the council in Southampton had banned a lollipop man from wrapping tinsel around his stop sign because of health and safety rules.
Now don't get me wrong there is a time and place for everything, but this time I agree with the council.
If this had distracted a motorist while there were children crossing the road, it would have been disastrous, and then the council would have been to blame for not doing something about it.
I don't often agree with the Health 6 Safety police, but this time I do.
I am not against people celebrating the festive season, but within reason.
Rant over, enjoy the festivities.

Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 3:15:10 PM- Just like the "Old days"
With all the recent developments about ships being hijacked by pirates, why hasn’t Britain gone back to how they used to deal with this particular problem?
In the days, way back when the likes of Blue Beard and his colleges were roaming the high sea’s attaching merchant shipping Britain would dispatch naval frigates to deal with these people, and quite effective they were by all accounts.
So now we have Somalian pirates doing the same thing as the old buggers. The difference now is that the Royal Navy cannot fire on them, unless they themselves come under fire.
The UK Government should inform the local Somali warlords that any of their pirate ships come within spitting distance of a UK registered ship they will be blasted out of the water. If another country wanted to make use of this service then they could be charged accordingly and this additional cover would and could be extended.
The UK regularly has Navy ships in the area, so convoys could be arranged and the additional cost could be offset by a charge being levied by the UK Government on these shipping companies to ensure safe passage. This would reduce the amount of insurance these shipping companies have to pay to cover them through these dangerous waters, and would provide an income for the UK Government.
Anyone wanting to suggest Johnny Depp for this position will be instantly taken outside and kicked around the car park until they see sense.
Just thought I would get that in before someone out there suggests him, because I know you people and somebody would have.
There endeth today’s rant.

Thursday, November 13, 2008, 3:51:44 PM- What is it about womens skin?
While watching TV I have come to the conclusion that women are easily brainwashed into buying skin care products on TV.
Once it was just moisturisers, but now it’s all sorts of potions to make your skin feel younger and softer.
The other day I was watching some program or other and during the break there were 2 adverts over the space of a couple of minutes.
One was for, shall we say older women to tighten up their skin, and the other one was for younger women to loosen up the skin.
Come on women make your minds up, tight or loose.
If you went down these lines then when you’re younger you would be loosening your skin, and then one day you would wake up with saggy skin and then need to make it tighter again.
With this in mind why not save yourself a small fortune and let nature take its course?
I just don’t get it!

Monday, November 10, 2008, 2:14:32 PM- Whats happening to the weather?
Well here it is the start of November, and the weather has gone mad.
The family all went for a walk on Sunday along the paseo and it was very warm. Normally this time of year it’s into coats and hats, but not this weekend, which was nice as it was the missus Birthday on Saturday so that made it nice for her.
As we walked down the paseo there were quite a lot of people (probably tourists) on the sun beds on the beach. Now I said it was warm, but it was not warm for sunbathing in your cossies.
Why do the tourists do this?
I was stood waiting for the bus last year and I overheard some tourists saying to each other “I wonder how these Spaniards get on when it gets really cold” They were obviously meaning me, as I was in my coat and they were in the shorts and t shirts. So I looked over and said “Well when it gets really cold I have an even thicker coat”. That put them back a bit, as they thought I couldn’t speak English. Always puts a smile on my face when that happens.
Well must get my nose back to the grindstone, Look out for another piece of nonsense coming soon.

Thursday, November 6, 2008, 3:29:39 PM- Why are the UK tax payers pying for this
I read in the news today that the Government is going to compensate investors who have lost money in the Icelandic bank crash, why?
I seem to remember in the 90´s the BCCI bank going tits up and the Governments said, hard lines, you took the risk in the bank, and now you will have to sort it out.
So why are they making sure that investors in Iceland get their money back. People who have put their money overseas know that they will get better interest rates, so therefore you suffer the consequences that go with it. These people want their cake and to eat it too.
I am sorry but these people should be looking to the Icelandic Government to pay them back and not the UK s.
You pays your money you takes your chances.

Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 2:56:06 PM- Do people go out of their way to piss me off?
Why is it that I can get on with my own job, and work for the better of the company, when other people are just there to either pass the time or line their own pockets?
I have been helping out in a different dept at work for about 4 weeks, in addition to doing my own job. I have my usual desk in my office and a spare desk in the other.
Today someone has gone in and taken all the files I had on the desk and piled them up on a different desk in a random order.
Now I would not usually mind but, it was obvious that this desk was in use, so God only knows they had to choose to work at my desk and to massacre my files instead of using the spare desk they dumped my files on.
Somebody is going to get a slap if I find out who it was.
Ranting over now.
Enjoy your day, and I hope your files may stay fit and healthy, and unmolested.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 12:41:17 PM- Thanks to those who commented on my first blog
It’s good to know that people do read other NN´s blogs, so thanks to those of you who have responded, you may regret it now, and here come the rankings of a madman, lol.

In the morning while I am at work the wife watches the usual daytime rubbish. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a case of each to their own, but come on lets face it Jeremy Kyle?
Where does this show get the inbreeds from?
Do they have a large van touring the rough parts of the UK offering to take them to the big town and show them all the flashing lights?
Does anyone else feel that if you had such a malfunctioning family, would you want to go on daytime TV and tell the whole country, not me, that’s for sure?
My skin shudders sometimes when I see these families and friends chuntering and growling at each other, while Jeremy feeds his ever growing ego, and the audience cheer and clap at the command of the floor manager, how false is it all?
I have been on TV as part of a documentary on Brits moving abroad and had a camera crew follow us during the journey, and that was bad enough, I would never want to go through that again.
I know there is a on off button which would solve all my problems, but I put up with this on the TV as the wife finds it entertaining for some reason.
I can’t wait till its time to go to work and I can get back to some kind of sane state of mind.

Monday, November 3, 2008, 4:12:17 PM-
Well, I might as well use this section, as I have one.
I have never been able to think of anything to put on a blog, so if anyone has any ideas, or has anything they want to know about me then let me know.
I don’t know if I am wasting my time with this, as I don’t get many comments on my pics, so I don’t hold out much hope for getting any in here either.
What I have always fancied asking, is.
Why do you post pictures on here?
I have posted mine because I find it mildly erotic, thinking that people all over the World can see them, an you never know someone may see them who knows me, naughty thoughts.
Why not let me know why you have posted yours?
