Friday, December 22, 2006, 3:14:06 PM- Merry Christmas Everyone.
It wouldn’t be right to let Christmas go by without wishing everyone on Newbie’s a Merry Christmas and to say thank you for all the pm’s you’ve been sending me.

I apologize for not answering everyone but we have been having a troublesome time this year. So far, Clive (hubby) has had five operations – he was diagnosed with having Peripheral Artery Disease.

The new house is also running three months behind schedule and we didn’t move in before Christmas as we intended.

Over the last year, people have repeatedly asked me how I manage to stay so young and healthy looking, so I gave it some thought and came up with numerous tips and tricks which some of you may find interesting.

Not only have I written it all down in an ebook, I have also created my own website (which has taken months of hard work) to help others make the most of their natural looks too. I have set up my website to share everything I have learned and to help anyone who wants to learn, how to do it too.

Sorry for the plug but I really have worked hard on this project and I can’t wait to share it with you! So here it is:

Once again, have a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Love to everyone.

Friday, May 19, 2006, 2:01:25 PM- Update ... while I'm not posting.
Thanks for all your pm’s while I’m not posting it’s great hearing from you. Some of you will already know that the contractors have begun work on our new build and it’s really exciting watching everything come together after nearly 4 years of planning.

Yesterday’s events, however, will remain imprinted on my mind for a long, long time.

A knock on the door brought the news that the digger had knocked down and run over the dumper driver. The poor bloke had a broken leg and an ambulance was urgently required.

What was the dumper driver doing so close to the digger? Good question.

He was trying to attract the attention of the digger driver (unsuccessfully) and he stood in the driver’s only blind spot. The driver was unaware of his presence until he heard his screams above the noise of the machine. He swung the cab round and saw him lying under the track. Mortified, because at that point he thought he had killed him, he reversed the heavy machine off him.

The building plot is elevated and although they have excavated for the new driveway, the recent heavy rainfall made it impossible for the ambulance to travel up to him, so they called the Air Ambulance.

I’ve see it on the telly but that is nothing to watching these guys first hand. The unmistakable red helicopter appeared over the horizon and was on course for our field as though the pilot was following some invisible road in the sky. In high winds and heavy rain, the pilot skilfully brought the helicopter down and I could see how the wind was buffeting it.

These guys are impressive to watch. In no time, the helicopter was climbing back into the sky and disappearing out of view bearing the unfortunate young man off to hospital.

And how was the injured fellow coping with all this? He was totally devastated because he had a hot date lined up for Friday night (tonight) with a girl he’d been after for ages. She’d finally agreed to go out with him and now he wouldn’t be able to meet her!

Men!! Don’t you ever think of anything else?

Thursday, March 23, 2006, 10:24:17 PM- No More Saves ....
I know some of you are upset that NN has disabled the option to save your favourite pics unless you join up and become Premium members.

This seems to be a form of blackmail to me and has taken away freedom of choice so I’ve worked out a way round this.

View the pic you want to save.
Go to File ... Save As ...

In file type ... Choose Web Page Complete

In folder ... Choose My Pictures

Save.

Open My Pictures. The picture will be there along with a lot of web rubbish. Just delete everything you don’t want.

It’s long winded but the result is the same.

Happy viewing and happy saving!

Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 12:08:22 PM- We All Love Our Kids but ....
.... They have the ability to be brutally honest at the most embarrassing times.

About ten years ago I took my son with me to visit my mother. We weren’t the only visitors so he had an avid audience when he suddenly piped up with ....

“My dad keeps dirty books in your bedroom, mum.”

“No, he doesn’t,” I said, trying to change the subject.

“I’ve seen them,” he said, pleased with him self because all eyes were now on him. “They’re in the bottom drawer of your cupboard.”

I was so embarrassed, they weren’t his father’s dirty books he’d found .... they were mine!

Has anyone else been shown up by the innocence of a child?

Tuesday, February 7, 2006, 11:06:58 AM- Valentine Greetings
With Valentine’s Day almost here I couldn’t resist sharing this poem I found while surfing the net. It pretty much sums it up, so this is for all my friends who have sent me friendly pm’s, left nice comments or put entries on my blog.

To Ask You to Be My Valentine

Someone came, a stranger then,
a stranger perhaps, yet.
But, all the same the world to me,
a world, I shan’t forget.

To ask you to be my Valentine
I’d have to talk to you.
Something that in all this time
I’ve managed not to do.

I’d have to get past “Hi!” somehow
to show you that I care.
But the time is never right just now,
especially when you’re there.

I fear I won’t know what to say
and strike you as a fool.
Or you’ll be glad to get away,
unwilling to be cruel.

And so to you, a stranger then,
a stranger maybe, yet,
I give to you my very soul,
my heart ... this love I’ve kept.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to you all.

Friday, January 13, 2006, 1:33:58 PM- New Year Resolutions….
Does anyone keep them? I can’t even remember what my last year’s resolution was.

It’s not lack of willpower, in my case, more a lack of commitment.

So take heart, if your resolutions are already fading, by reading the words of the German philosopher, Goethe:

“… (When we are committed), a whole stream of events issues from the decision, working in our favour; all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance that no man could have dreamed would come his way.
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it."

So this year I haven’t named any particular vice to give up or any particular goal to achieve. My New Year’s Resolution is simply this:

… “I will succeed in anything I set my mind to”.

I can say these words with conviction and total commitment!

Last year was materially disastrous for me, yet at the same time it was a journey of discovery and growth. This New Year is full of promise and hope and a new self knowledge to help make, at least some of my dreams come true.

Have you kept your resolutions?

Friday, December 16, 2005, 8:29:19 AM- The Season of Goodwill...
…and Joy to all men (and women!). If my postings have brought a little joy into your life then I’ve done a good job. What started as just a bit of fun has brought a new dimension to my life and I have ‘met’ some very interesting people, made new friends and had many hours of fun. Some of you are born comedians and you certainly brighten up my days.

Today was my last post for this year. Mum is coming to stay over the holidays and don’t I think she’d see the funny side!

I shall be back in the New Year and I shall look forward to hearing from you. Until then I wish you all A Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. Have fun.

Wednesday, October 26, 2005, 11:47:17 AM- Update on me.
I am very happy with the way my life is at the moment and feel no need for change. For those of you who have asked, I do not chat on msn, yahoo, web cam or do e-mail photo exchange and I am not looking for anyone at the moment. The photos I post are here to be shared with all of you. I am not a negative person however and enjoy reading all your wonderful comments and messages. We all need to know that we are appreciated. Over the past few weeks you have given me 1000’s of words of kindness and between you all you have made me a better, more confident person.

Thursday, September 22, 2005, 8:56:48 AM-
Joining Newbie Nudes and posting has done wonders for my confidence. I am totally overwhelmed by the responses I have received from everyone. Reading your messages has become an important part of our day and it is addictive, so I shall keep posting for as long as my husband keeps taking the photos. He's so proud of me, this experience has done us both good, after seventeen years of marriage we are stronger now than we have ever been.
Once again, a sincere thank you, to you all.

Monday, September 12, 2005, 1:42:21 PM- About who I am.
I don't normally do this sort of thing because I'm quite shy, but my husband has eventually persuaded me to. I'm not ready to contact anyone yet but I love reading your flattering comments.
As an artist I appreciate beautiful things and the female figure is, to me, one of the most beautiful things on this earth and that's probably why I like looking at pretty young women.
Also, as I'm getting older, youth has a beauty all of its own.
I really wish I could turn back the clocks because there are many things I would do differently now but I have no regrets.
Except one maybe, I should have shared my love of beautiful young women with my husband sooner, because he's over the moon.
Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages I have read them all.
