Monday, March 31, 2008, 11:55:04 PM- New puter up and running

Had a recent crash so I bought a new puter. Nice HP with 3 gig of Ram and a dual core processor. I had been on dial up and things were so slow but they recently made "over the air" service available from Verizon available in my area. It is smoking compared to the dial up connection that I had. Expensive but well worth it.

Tuesday, February 12, 2008, 10:16:14 PM- Took a motorcycle safety course this week and

it was a blast. They made me do things on the bike I didn't think I could do. Learned a lot and am now ready for the open road. I had to have the course to ride on military base near home and didn't think they could teach me anything. Boy, was I wrong. Found that many things I was doing was not the easy way to do them and I think it will help me on my mountain rides.

Hi,

I have been trying to upload pictures taken with my web cam but get a "Too Small" error. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a digital camera but I am not sure if it has a delay setting. Guess I need to get busy reading!!

"J, it's been awhile since i had my cam hooked up but a few of the pics i have posted were taken with my cam. they're not big but i had alot of options on the cam. i used a timer and took pics anywhere from close up to ten or so feet away. then i saved it to my pc as a jpg. if you're able to save any of them to your pc why not try emailing one to someone and (me)let me see how small it comes out? it's difficult to be helpful unless i can see what you mean. just a pic of your hand or anything..just to test it..if you want i'm willing. tendr247@yahoo.com"

Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 2:13:39 PM- Thunder in the Smokey's

I have made plans and reservations to attend the "Thunder in the Smokey's" bike rally in Maggie Valley, NC the last weekend in April. I am going a day early and staying over on Sunday night so I will have plenty of time to ride in the mountains. This will be my first rally and I am looking forward to it. There is another rally the same weekend in Cherokee, NC which is only 19 miles away so the mountains should be full of bikes.

Since I have updated this blog. A bunch has happened since I did. I have quit my job and am considering full retirement. I know I am not going back to work full time unless something catastrophic happens. I have my military retirement and a little money saved so I should be OK. May not get to go and do as I want but still will have some "play" money.

I went to see "The Bucket List" last weekend and it is by far and away the best movie I have seen in years. I normally do not cry and laugh at the same time in a movie but I did in that one. DON"T MISS IT.

Got a deal on a satellite radio the other day ($119 with a $119 rebate and service for $88 bucks a year). I installed it and really am enjoying it.

My idiot grandson (who I raised) came to my house last night with metal hanging from his mouth. I am so pissed I don't know what to do but he is 18 and must make his own decisions in life. I just hate to see him screw up!!! Had to vent somewhere and better here than on him, even though I did display my displeasure!!

and the end of the work week...or almost

The service business is changing at the shop from bikes to 4 wheelers but the work keeps coming in!!! Hunters are getting ready for the season and getting their wheels ready to carry them into the woods and the game out of the woods. Jet ski owners will be bringing them in to get them ready for storage as well.

My how time flies. Seems like yesterday when I wrote the last time. Ladies I appreciate the comments on my last blog and either of you are welcome to ride with me anytime. Last Sunday I rode 330 miles to Charleston, SC and back home. Just cruising and looking at the back roads of South Carolina. I am fortunate to live in such a lovely area and be close to the mountains and the sea. Will post here again when I think about it.....hugs and kisses Joe

Monday, September 17, 2007, 1:42:36 AM- Sunday night and nothing on TV

Had a nice ride on my Bike today. I have a Honda VTX1300S with Cobra pipes for those who know what it is or a big, loud bike to those that don't!!

Rode through the country on roads that I had not been on in a long time. Ended up riding about 150 miles with a couple of stops at historical areas. The weather was cooler finally but it was a little overcast. Came home and perved on NN as I try to do daily!! Hope everyone is well and I will be back in about a week or so. Hugs and kisses, Joe

I am here on this Friday night perving and commenting on my favorite ladies pictures. Not much is going on in my life except my grandson has reached 18 and has moved out on his own.
