Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 3:19:28 AM- Weekend in the woods.
Well, not the whole weekend. Sunday the girlfriend and I went to a little known and very out of the way state park. I had never been there before, and it was fantastic.

Great hiking with mild to slightly moderate trails. The weather was picture perfect for it too. Not too hot, and a slight breeze. We hit the 5 mile trail with the "steepest" hills, which again weren't strenuous to the point of pain.

The spruce trees canopy much of the trail and in places there were large elms, oaks, and ash which provided some great contrast. One over look gives you a clear line of site for about 20 miles in 180 degrees. Most of that view was forest.

Very beautiful region. It reminds me that we have to make it back to Wisconsin's Door County region this year. Another beautiful state park up in that area. Takes a 3 day weekend for us though with the drive.

Friday, May 22, 2009, 2:08:58 PM- 7 lbs in a month.
My plan to increase my activity level didn't pan out so well. Apparently, I'm a little lazy in that regard.

However, I've been very good about portion control over the last month or so. My goal has been to hold my daily calorie intake down to 1500 to 1800 during the weekdays, and I've been managing pretty well. I'm also drinking strictly water during the week at about 80 to 90 ounces per day.

So far about 7 lbs of that Winter weight have dropped. At this rate it will be 1 month to my pre-Winter weight. Then I might try for one more month of weight loss after that. 20-22 lbs gone would put me into the mid to high range for my body type and size.

Sunday, April 19, 2009, 6:09:07 AM- Battle of the Bulge.
Man!

I really porked out over the winter months. It didn't help that I stopped my martial arts practice, which was my #1 physical activity. That, and I think that slow down in metabolism people often get in their mid-30's hit.

I'm going to have to make some time to hit the local pool for some laps. It's indoors and near Olympic size. That and I need to look into getting back on some sort of weight training...

Tuesday, December 9, 2008, 4:48:46 PM- Freezing rain and snow mix
Lovin' it!! Just luv-in-it!!!

Driving to work this morning was a particular bit of fun. I'm just happy that the snowblower attachment for the lawn tractor is up and running because this is some very heavy, very wet stuff.

Tuesday, December 9, 2008, 1:04:14 AM- Twilight; totally screwing with my love of vampire genre..
I like a lot of things in the vampire genre. However, the people who made the Twilight movie deserve slow and painful retribution. I mean they freaking hyped the shit out of this movie, and so I figured the girlfriend and I would go check it out. Movie mistake of 2008.

Now, I realize that the books, which I have not read, are written for teenage girls. However, the Harry Potter books are written for kids, and they managed to make some pretty good films.

Robert Pattinson, who plays the main vampire character, wears more eye make-up than the Cure and comes across like a man who should be hitting the gay club scene. This would work if it weren't for the fact that he's suppose to be head over heals for a CHICK!

By the by, vampires don't go out in the sun because they sparkle!!! That's right!!! They fucking sparkle!!! Sparkling-in-the-sunshine Robert Pattinson has got to be the homo-erotic material of 2008. This probably wouldn't bother me, if it weren't for the fact that he's suppose to be head over heals for a CHICK!

The female lead doesn't do anything to help the movie recover either. Kristen Stewart's character has almost no personality. She haltingly delivers lines in what I suppose is to come across as dramatic... It ain't. Her interactions with Pattinson just hurts the brain.

Finally, special effects in movies today are fairly advanced, or so I hear. Next time I would suggest spending some of the over-inflated advertising budget on good F/X's because frankly they sucked in this film.

Bad acting with over drawn pauses interspersed between deep-and-meaningless looks does not make for good film! Vampires sparkling in the sunlight, and hissing like house cats does not a good film make. Thinking for an instant that your movie is so good the effects might as well be done by Dewy, Cheatum, and How ain't going to save your piece of shit film.

Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 7:37:57 PM- In answer to blog responses below.
I wouldn't have renewed my prem membership, but for a few of the videos. Pictures are great and I enjoy them a lot. However, if "a picture is worth 1,000 words", what is the value of a really hot video? That and I am just not into professional porn with the over done princesses of silicon looking about as interested in the sex as a lesbian would look at Shriner's convention.

I mean seriously, amateurs have all the passion!

Renewed my premium after a 6-7 month prem hiatus. I missed some of the spectacular video feeds people are generous enough to upload.
