The assignment I handed in this morning was nineteen pages long. I think that sets a new record for me.

I still have my assignment to do from last week, but that's not due till next Monday. Thank heavens, maybe I can get a full night's sleep for once.

My cat just wandered in here looking for a place to sleep. His name is Hadlee. My dad named him after the great New Zealand fast bowler Sir Richard Hadlee, but I don't think that my cat does his legend any justice. He'll be thirteen come December, weighs seven kilos and is a picture of health despite being a fat lardball. I don't mind too much though, it makes him cuddly.

Cats have such a damn hard life. All that sleeping and eating and midnight prowling to do. I don't know how he manages it all. Think I'll take lessons from him on how to handle a busy schedule.

*curls up into a ball and goes to sleep in your lap*

That's my assignment question. Two thousand words' worth of *drivel* on a piece I have very little care for. Don't get me wrong, Brahms was a legend of his time, but I just have no patience for musical analysis. Technique should be secondary to emotion and passion when it comes to music. A lot like lovemaking, really. But who am I kidding, I have trouble understanding emotion anyway.

What can I tell you about me in the meantime? Hmmm. I'm in a band. We're called the Rawdevns. And I bet you can't guess what that word means.

We play a hybrid of Rancid, NOFX, Guns-N-Roses, Deftones, Jack Johnson, the Sex Pistols, and basically anything that catches our ear. It's punk rock of a sort, but it's got more finesse and polish than your average angry teenage moshing band. I like the fact that we pay attention to the finer details of a song. Maybe one day you'll hear us. I play a Cort Curbow 5-string bass, an Epiphone Les Paul guitar, and I sing backing vocals. Makes it all quite fun.

I can't think of anything else to say. On here or on my assignment. Think I'll go to bed.

...is up! Taken at the recently held Erotica Expo 2005 with a lady I am a huge fan of. Go see!

On that note, I should let you guys know that it might be a little while before I can put anything else up, since I've lost my digital camera somewhere, and that one was taken on my mate's. And yeah, I'm not particularly interested in having him take nekkid photos of me...

But having said that, I can promise that whatever I post next *will* be worth waiting for.

That's a very interesting question. I guess partly it's because I'm a guy, and hey, a guy's gotta do what he's gotta do sometimes, LOL. But it's also partly about getting out of my damn shell, going out and meeting people, encouraging myself to take charge of my life for once... Who knows, maybe I'm just a Search away from finding my special someone. I can't say I'm not here to take what I can get in the interim... I am 22, after all. But I do have a long term goal in mind, despite how ridiculous and far off it seems now.

If people start to actually read this, then I'll put up more about myself as time passes. In the meantime, I have more uni work to do. Oh, and I know it says "Uni Graduate" on my profile... That happens in two months, so I thought I would just anticipate it a little.
