Mum Im bored....mum, she wont share that with me...mum can i get a pound so i can go to the shop....mum, they are chasing us...mum..mum...mum...mum

FUCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY.....

lol...when i was a kid I dont remember being like this...we used to go out and play all day, we didnt go home for lunch, or run in every 2 minutes...

its like one of those emails you get about kids today...no mobiles...we survived...no internet...we survived...

what did we do all day? We climbed up trees, played in the river, played on building sites, played games outside which actually required a bit of imagination...and boy did we have such fun when we did it... lol..now i sound like my gran..."all we had was a stick and a hoop and we played all day!!!" heeheee

My point is that when i look out of my window on a sunny day, I expect to see kids outside playing!! It is the summer holidays after all, but I can hardly believe that i cant even see one kid outside playing. I loved my childhood and had a great, stable and fun upbringing and try to give my kids the same thing.
BUT when i tell them its a nice day outside go out and play...then you would honestly think i was punishing them!!!

dough1214U	2-Aug-05 23:35:44 Lmao...Willow, you're kids are the ones that are old. Look at the world they live in. They've already absorbed more information than our parents did by retirement age. Everything you ever wanted to know about the world is presented on channels 1-125. Video games have more adventure than a trek to the north pole. They not only know what the Moon looks like, they've been to Mars. We're still young, our parents are even younger yet. I don't envy my child her world. They adapt in their own ways but theres so much instantaneous satisfaction that I wonder sometimes If she'll become lost in it. Sadly, their ability to adapt, to create, to fantasize and dream holds little attraction to those used to everything at their fingertips. Willow... if your children are the users of this world, while they're growing up..you're their most convenient user terminal. I know they're getting jam on your keys, smudging your screen, asking all the wrong questions and making you crash occasionally but soon enough, they'll trade you off for a faster, more powerful model and you'll wish for the days of sticky fingers. Our children will never be who we want them to be and that's a good thing because they are more ready to deal with this plugged in world than we are. I just hope mine stops by occasionally to reprogram my digital bed pan..lol.
