tommygirl's blog post - good news....

I am pleased to report that test results are in for my daughter and it appears that she has a pretty severe case of mono. However uncommon it is for children to have it, she is the type of kid that if someone in the family is gonna get it....it would be her LOL!!

So she has a battle ahead of her cause it often takes months to get it under control & it stays in the body for life once you have. Having said that......it certainly could have been something worse we were facing. So I thank the "big guy" for prayers answered. Assuming she can start school in September her program will have to be altered to ensure that she does not suffer any blows to her abdomen since the liver, spleen etc are enlarged. Again....it could be worse.
